When will government pay May 2022 salaries
Employees of public institutions were issued a press statement detailing the date they will be paid their 2022 salaries.
In 2021, the Controller and Accountant General Department (CAGD) issued the salary payments plan for the staff of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Ghana Health Service, and other public institutions that receive their payment from the Controller and Accountant General Department.
The date for the month of May is scheduled is the 26th of May. The CAGD also made it known in the statement to the employees that, their account will be credited on the said date, however, the kind of bank they save at will determine whether they receive their salary on time.
This is because whereas some banks pay as soon as they receive the cheques issued by CAGD, others also delay the payment.
