For individuals to settle and cluster together in a given geographical area, is a high qualification for their classification as a society. As they live in that place and interact more and more, certain social systems will be built. If they have one language, then that’s a strong foundation for a culture to be established among them for an effective and stronger identity.
CULTURE
Culture is the collection of ideas, customs, and social behavior of a society or a particular group of people. It is what helps one identify a race and even ethnic tribes within a given country. The culture of a group of people includes the language they speak, native foods, clothes they wear, their festivals, collective mindset on a social matter, and anything they share together socially.
Culture though varies from tribe to tribe and society to society, it can be referred to as the entire nation as a whole. Here all the different societies and tribes come together to hold a general social way of living at the national level.
Culture is dynamic and thus can be influenced. Over the past century, many societies have undergone drastic change by reason influences both internal and external.
An example is where certain African countries, though they have their original language, have come along in time speaking a European language as part of their national common language.
The beauty of culture is something one cannot overlook. Though there are some cultural practices that human rights are strongly against, there are some that invite an individual to witness. In Africa culture is numerous even as there are many countries on the African continent. These diversities in culture get the continent busy with the likes of foreigners from other continents who have come to witness the culture.
MOST POPULAR AFRICAN CULTURE
There are some ways of living that cut across the continent of Africa. Five of them are shown in this writing and are popular.
1 . To begin with, FARMING
The first is farming. It is found everywhere in Africa that household members tend to build themselves with farming. The natives belong to a clan one way or the other and these clans own lands in Africa. The respective household may have a portion of land that is theirs. They usually survive on the land by farming.
2 . Secondly, VENDING
The next popular culture in Africa is vending. Due to this many market centers are built and it is fond for Africans to cluster at a place under the sun selling goods. That is also a way of making ends meet on the continent.
3 . Thirdly, Mobile Phones
Another is the use of mobile phones. It has become quite an act among the Africans to get a phone irrespective of the brand or price. All that matters is they can make a call.
4 . Last but not least, Respecting the Elderly
Also, there is a culture of letting the elderly be served first. It is a sign of respect for the elderly.
