How to Get Your Instagram Link
Your Instagram URL which is a web link comprises your Instagram’s domain name, a forward slash, and then your username. To help people find you, your profile, and follow you on Instagram, you will have to share your web link with them.
It is easy to get your Instagram profile link on mobile, and we will show you how. You can get a link to photos and videos that are shared on Instagram as well. Per the above definition, your Instagram link should look like the example below. For example, if your handle on Instagram is “gail,” your profile URL will be: https://www.instagram.com/gail
Using an Instagram on a desktop, you can copy the link that takes you to your profile page. On phone, you have to note your username and manually add it to the Instagram link. We will guide you with steps on how to get your Instagram link on both computer and phone. Let’s start with a Computer.
STEPS ON A DESKTOP
- Open your web browser and launch Instagram. Then sign in to your account.
- In Instagram, at the top-right corner, click your profile icon. Now copy the link to the “Profile” menu.
- If you are using Chrome, right-click “Profile” and choose “Copy Link Address.”
- If you are on Firefox or Edge, right-click the “Profile”, link and choose “Copy Link.”
Once you follow the above steps keenly, you will successfully copy the link to your Instagram profile. To know, if you were indeed successful, try using the link.
- Put your cursor in any text field on your computer.
- Right-click there, and choose “Paste” from the drop menu.
- The link should appear there.
- And that is it.
You are ready to get and stay connected to whoever you send the link to. People who have access to the link can view your profile anytime.
ON PHONE
The Instagram app for iPhone and Android does not offer the option to copy your profile link. You will have to generate one for yourself as we did earlier in the example.
- First, open the Instagram app on your phone. On the app’s bottom bar, tap your profile icon.
- On your profile page, take note of your username.
- Like earlier, replace your username in the following link:
https://www.instagram.com/username/
And the resulting link will be your Instagram profile link. Stay connected with family and friends as you have fun.
