WUSC CALL FOR INTERNSHIP APPLICATIONS
Applications are open for interested and suitably qualified female TVET graduates for the INVEST Project Employability Program 2022/2023. This Internship Program seeks to support female graduates in both TVET institutions and Technical Universities particularly those in the technical fields to:
- Gain practical skills relevant to the job market;
- Build their confidence and improve their coping skills to deal with stereotypes about and negative attitudes towards women in the TVET sector
- Strengthen networking for employment
Components of the Program are as follows:
- Orientation program
- Capacity Building Workshop on Applied Skills Training, Health and Safety (HSE), and Anti-Sexual Harassment Training
- Practical and hands-on skills training under dedicated Supervisors
- Monthly Stipend
- Workplace Accident Insurance
- Support services are available for the length of the internship to provide guidance and counseling, track intern progress, and ensure issues and/or challenges (if arise) are addressed.
Note: Accommodation will not be provided.
ELIGIBLE TRADE AREA & PLACEMENT LOCATION
World University Service of Canada (WUSC) is hereby requesting applications from suitable female candidates for any of the programs listed below:
Applicants should be:
- A female graduate from a TVET institution or a Technical University in any of the specified TVET disciplines stated below
- Must be between 18 years – 35 years
- Must reside within Greater Accra, Kumasi, or Sekondi- Takoradi
- Able to demonstrate leadership skills, good interpersonal and communication skills
- Willing to learn, and committed to delivering results;
- Interested in pursuing a career in a TVET field, particularly in a male-dominated trade
- Must be able to commit to an internship for a minimum of 3 months in length
DUTY STATION
Successful applicants will work with government or private sector companies predominantly in male-dominated sectors in Greater Accra, Kumasi & Sekondi-Takoradi. Postings will be subject to the applicant’s qualification and proximity to the placement organization

Interested applicants should send their application no later than 5:00 pm on
October 3rd, 2022. Hardcopy applications should also be submitted by the
