Uprise Travel Calls For Job Applications
Uprise Travel is looking for a passionate and hard-working tourism professional to fill these positions:
1. Travel Advisor
Responsibilities:
- Convincing prospective clients and callers to travel with Uprise Travel via phone and email interaction.
- Working directly with the managing partners to create and price unique itineraries for clients.
- Communicating with clients regarding visas, vaccines, packing lists, and other pre-trip requirements.
- Working with flight agents to ensure accurate airline prices and reservations.
- Answering incoming calls on the primary company phone line for at least eight hours per day, five days a week.
- Assisting the managing partners with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications Required
- Pays close attention to detail and strives for perfection.
- A diploma or higher education certificate (DBS, HND, or Degree) in tourism or similar fields.
- Have two years of experience in tourism, hospitality, or a similar industry.
- Excellent English communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Strong communication skills in Twi, Ewe, or at least one other Ghanaian language in addition to English.
- Thorough knowledge of all tourist attractions and other tourism offerings in Ghana.
- Located in the Greater Accra Region and easily accessible to Nungua-Spintex.
- Proficient in computer skills.
2. Social Media Manager
Responsibilities:
- Creating and scheduling social media content for all platforms.
- Setting and fulfilling social media growth targets.
- Writing and posting blog content.
- Producing and editing video content for Uprise Travel’s YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram Reels.
- Managing Uprise Travel’s photo inventory
- Writing pre-trip literature and outreach to potential clients
- Tracking Ghana tourism-related news and media
- Supporting backend website modifications and updates
- Additional projects as needed The ideal applicant would have a diverse set of talents in storytelling, marketing, and design. This is a multidisciplinary post.
Qualifications Required
- Proficient in English writing and storytelling
- Capable of quickly learning new skills and tools (e.g., social media planning, email marketing, video editing)
- Possesses a strong sense of design and/or photography/video editing abilities
