POSITION: Marketing Lead
Built is a financial technology startup that aims to democratize success for small businesses across Africa. The enterprise uses web and mobile technology to assist small businesses start, run, and expand. The company’s primary product is a simple financial record-keeping application that allows small business owners to simply save and manage their financial data for quick data-driven decision-making, as well as access a selection of financial services tailored to their size and needs.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are a rapidly developing company seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Lead to join our team. As a Marketing Lead, you’ll be in charge of creating and implementing marketing strategies to raise brand awareness, generate leads, and boost customer engagement. You will collaborate closely with the sales and product teams to achieve alignment and growth for the company.
Responsibilities will include the following.
- Developing marketing strategies: Responsible for creating marketing strategies and plans that are consistent with Built’s overall aims.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns, such as advertising, promotions, and public relations efforts.
- Budget management entails ensuring that marketing resources are allocated properly and efficiently.
- Analysis of performance: Analyse the success of marketing initiatives and suggest areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with different departments: Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, product development, and customer service, to ensure that marketing initiatives are in line with the overall corporate objectives.
- Managing marketing teams entails supervising a group of marketing experts and offering guidance and support to help them achieve their objectives.
- Keep up with industry trends: Keep track of changes in the marketing sector, such as new technology, developing platforms, and shifting customer behaviour.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or comparable subject.
- Requirements for this position include 5+ years of marketing expertise, especially in the fintech business, a strong understanding of marketing ideas and practices, and experience planning and executing effective campaigns across many platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Requirements for this role include strong analytical skills, team management experience, and knowledge of marketing automation and CRM technologies.
