Study In USA: Fulbright Foreign Student Scholarship Program 2025

The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy runs the Fulbright Foreign Student Scholarship Program 2025/2026, which offers fully funded opportunities for Cambodian residents to pursue Masters or PhD studies in the United States.

The Fulbright Program aims to promote international comprehension by offering selected scholars round-trip transportation, full coverage of tuition and fees, and a living stipend. Applicants are required to have high academic achievement, proficiency in English, flexibility with different cultures, and little previous experience in the United States.

An Overview of the Fulbright Program

As the main international academic exchange program since 1946, the Fulbright Program, which receives funding from the U.S. government, has promoted understanding between the United States and other nations.

Fulbright recipients are chosen without regard to their race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, geographic location, socio-economic status, handicap, sexual orientation, or gender identity, and they come from diverse backgrounds.

Following the guidelines established by the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FFSB), the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State administers the Fulbright Program. The Binational Fulbright Commissions in 49 countries establish program priorities, which encompass the quantity and types of funds available. The funding for commissions is provided through collaboration between the United States and the host governments.

Boards that include representatives from both the United States and partner nations are in charge of these commissions. In about 100 nations where there are no Fulbright Commissions, the Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the American Embassy manages the Fulbright Program. Several non-profit organizations in the United States manage different parts of the program on behalf of the Department of State.

Educational Attainment:

The Fulbright Foreign Student Scholarship Program for the academic year 2025-2026 in the USA is open to anyone who wishes to pursue Masters or PhD level programs at universities in the United States.

Benefits of the scholarship:

Eligible Nationalities:

  • Provide evidence of English language competency by achieving a minimum TOEFL score of 570 (paper-based), 230 (computer-based), 88 (internet-based), or a score of 7.0 on the IELTS.
  • Demonstrate the capacity to effectively adjust to a new cultural setting.
  • Possess robust physical well-being and can manage a rigorous academic curriculum.
  • Possess minimal previous exposure to residing in or attending educational institutions in the United States.

Significant dates:

  • Application Period: Commences on February 1 and concludes on May 4.
