    IELTS 2022 EXAMINATION QUESTIONS

    As admission into some Universities abroad does not require IELTS, some also do require IELTS. Whatever the case, you still must be prepared for it. There are about five IELTS essay-type questions. You wouldn’t know which of the types you’ll be given.

    So you must prepare for all the types. These essay types are:

    1. Opinion Essays. Here you’ll asked to agree or disagree with a particular statement and provide your opinion on why you agree or disagree.

    2. Discussion Essays. Here you’ll be given two sides of an issue and you are required to discuss all sides.

    3. Advantage or Disadvantage Essay. You’ll be asked to determine which one outweighs the other. The Advantages or the Disadvantages?

    4. Cause or Problem or Solution Essays. You’ll be asked to write an essay stating the causes of a situation and suggest a Solution to help curb the situation.

    5. Direct Question Essays. Here, you’ll be asked to write an essay on whether a particular trend or issue is a positive or negative development.

    To prepare ourselves for the IELTS exams, let’s look at some of these questions for all the types stated above.

    LIKELY IELTS EXAMINATION QUESTIONS

    1. The First question to consider is, “Many people feel that media coverage has become increasingly biased. Why is this so, and what can be done to fix this problem?”.

    2. Secondly, candidates must be aware of this question, “Some people feel that cities should be designed to be beautiful while others feel that its function is rather important. Discuss both sides and give your own opinions.”

    3. Thirdly, candidates must take notice of this question, “More people are moving away from where their friends and family dwelling. Do the advantages of this trend outweigh the disadvantages?”

    4. Also, consider this question, “Educating young people is naturally important. Nonetheless, some think and believe that the government ought to invest more education for adult need. To what extent do you agree or disagree to this?”

    5. Additionally, candidates should take this question into consideration “Weddings are very getting bigger and expensive. What do you think is the reason for this? Is it a positive or negative development?”

    6. Another important question to note down is, “Some people claim that too much focus and resources have been spent on the protection of weddings animals and birds. To what extent do you agree or disagree?”

    7. In some places, old age is valued. In other cultures, youth is considered more important. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

    8. Also on the list of probable questions is, “When there is a rise in the standard of living in a country, it often only seem to benefit the cities more than the rural areas. What problems cause ghosts? How might these problems be reduced?”

    9. Applicants should also consider answering this question, “Some believe that nuclear weapons benefit the world at large. To what extent do you agree or disagree?”

    10. Similarly, candidates should expect a question like “Some people believe that engaging in an active pastime does more to develop children’s life skills than time spent reading. To what extent do you agree or disagree?”

    11. Some expert say road safety cyclists should pass a test before being allowed on public roads. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

    In addition to the questions above, candidates must check the following questions below out:

    12. Many supermarkets are selling more products that are imported from other countries instead of selling foods that are locally sourced. What are the reasons for this? Is this a positive or negative development?

    13. Equally important question is, “Some people believe that violent media directly results in violent behavior. To what extent do you agree or disagree?”

    14. More so, candidates should check this question out, “Today, many young people spend too much of their free time at shopping malls. This can be considered negative for Young people and the society in general. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?”

    15. Today, TV channels broadcast men’s sports shows more that Women’s sport shows. Why is this the case? Should TV channels give equal showtime for each?
