MasterCard Foundation Scholars program. Numerous American universities are offering undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. scholarships. Students from Africa and other developing countries are not exempted from applying. Some of these scholarships are targeted specifically at Africans.
 The MasterCard Foundation scholars program
The MasterCard founFoundation scholars program is a program that seeks to educate and provide financial assistance to brilliant but needy people. Candidates who have demonstrated the fundamentals of giving back to transform their communities. The essence of the program is to shape beneficiaries with skills and values. These skills and values can turn the economic and social progress of Africa.
Moreover, here are some universities in America that have partnered with the MasterCard Foundation.
1. First on the list is, MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at Wellesley College
Wellesley gives nine (9) African women broad support that covers scholarships. Also, mentoring, counseling, and internship opportunities for their undergraduate studies. This program offers scholars at Wellesley to gain experience. It helps instill values and build competencies that are necessary to succeed in the global economy. This also, helps them give back to their communities and the countries they migrated from.
2. Another on the list is, MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at Stanford University
The MasterCard Foundation will give exhaustive support to twenty students from Africa. These students should be highly talented but economically marginalized. This program will assist five students financially each year.
3. Also Available is, MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at Arizona State University (ASU)
In 2012, Arizona State University welcomed ten undergraduate students from seven African countries. This was the first class of MasterCard Foundation Scholars to begin their studies at ASU. These scholars have excellent academic records but are financially challenged. But they are committed to giving back to their communities  As a result of this program, ASU will receive $27.5 million over the next seven years to provide them with tuition.
5. Additionally, the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of California, Berkeley
113 students from Sub-Saharan Africa will be supported. This will enable applicants to pursue both undergraduate and professional master’s degrees.
6. Furthermore, MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at Michigan State University (MSU)
The MasterCard Foundation has partnered with Michigan State University. The aim is to support 185 scholars. This includes undergraduate and graduate students from Sub-Saharan Africa with a full-tuition scholarship.
7. Lastly, MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at Duke University
The MasterCard Foundation has made a financial commitment of $13.5 million to educate a total of  35 students from Sub-Saharan Africa on scholarship.
Besides the MasterCard foundation program,  the US government also provides financial support. In particular, is a list of some of the government support.
This scholarship is also awarded to students who want to pursue a master’s or Ph.D. degree. It covers living expenses, tuition, and textbooks. In addition to accommodation, and health insurance of applicants
It is open to people who want to pursue their masters and are from developing countries. Disciplines include economics, health, education, agriculture, environment, natural resource management, or other development‑related subjects.

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program is a non-degree program for seasoned professionals. Professionals who want to strengthen their leadership skills by exchanging knowledge and understanding issues. Issues that are similar to what is happening in the U.S. and the Fellows’ home countries.
