How to Pin a Comment on Instagram
An Instagram comment is a response that users leave and receive on a posted photo, video, or Reel. Since Instagram came into the picture somewhere in 2010, it has gone through a lot of changes.
Many of us do not recall. But through it all, comments have remained mostly the same. For over a decade, they have stood faithfully and publicly below every post. For this, we have had plenty of time to master the art of managing Instagram comments.
Instagram comments are public so keep that in mind when you are leaving one. To leave a comment, tap the speech bubble icon at the bottom left of a photo or video, and the lower right side of a Reel.
PINNING A COMMENT
On your Instagram account, you can pin three of your comments to the top of the comment feed. That way, they are the first comments people will see when they view your post.
STEPS
- To pin an Instagram comment;
- Swipe left on it.
- Then tap the gray pushpin icon.
OR - Long press the preferred comment
- Once highlighted, you will be given options to either delete or pin a comment.
- Tap on the pin option to pin the contact.
When you pin comments, the person whose comment you pinned will receive a notification.
