1. Call MTN Call Centre
One of the ways by which you can report an MTN mobile money fraud case is by calling their customer service center on 100 and speaking to a call center representative. Choose your preferred language and press 5 to speak to a representative. When you are connected to a representative, you will be asked some questions, therefore you need to have these readily available.
- Your mobile money number
- Your name
- The number responsible for the Fraud
- At the time of the incident
- Ensure that you give all the necessary details so MTN decides on what to do
2. Send an SMS to 1515
1515 is like the emergency code for MTN Mobile Money fraud cases. With this you will need to type all that happened including the number, the amount involved and the time the incident occurred. 1515 is the unique code for all fraudulent Momo cases. Always remember to send the message immediately it happens so you don’t forget some important details.
3. Go to any MTN care office.
MTN Ghana has so many offices dispersed across the country. You can go to the nearest one in your locality and lodge a complaint to any of their representatives. When going take your phone along so you shoe the number and messages you received from the suspect.
