Study In USA: Tufts University Scholarships 2024

Tufts University’s financial aid programs are competitive, limited, and based on financial need. Students applying for financial help must establish their financial need by calculating the gap between the annual cost of attending Tufts University and their families’ salaries. When applying for financial aid, students are assessed based on their financial resources.

Tufts University Scholarships Overview

Financial need is the only factor used to assess financial aid for undergraduate students in the School of Arts & Sciences and School of Engineering. Regardless of a candidate’s citizenship status, Tufts University guarantees to meet all of their financial needs. The maximum number of semesters that financial aid recipients can receive Tufts aid is eight, or until they complete their bachelor’s degree, whichever comes first. Financial aid is available to students enrolled in the five-year BFA+BA/BS Combined Degree program for up to ten semesters.

Reasons to Choose Tufts University for Study

Tufts University academics

Tufts University has a distinctive and well-liked program that enables students to create and instruct courses, which helps compensate for the fact that education majors are exclusively available at the graduate level. The Experimental College, also known as “ExCollege,” provides over 100 atypical, full-credit courses taught by students, staff, and outside professionals in the Boston region. The ExCollege’s interdisciplinary approach encourages collaboration between students and teachers, providing opportunities to teach, explore, and develop new ideas. Some courses offered are American Witches, Baseball Analytics, Self-driving Cars, and Podcasting.

Social environment at Tufts

Tufts University offers a variety of social activities on campus, coordinated by student organizations and the university. Artistic programs consist of concerts, free movies, a cappella groups, and plays. The Leonard Carmichael Society is the largest campus-wide group, involving over 1,000 students annually. It manages community service projects for 40 groups, such as adult literacy help, blood donations, and aid for domestic abuse victims.

Less than 20% of male or female students at Tufts University are involved in Greek organizations. The university hosts Halloween on the Hill, a carnival for local youngsters, and Spring Fling, an outdoor performance held before final exams. Despite being situated in the suburb of Medford, Tufts University benefits from the nearby “T” metro system, providing students with convenient access to Boston for both professional and leisure activities.

Residential accommodation

Students in their first through fourth years of study have the option to select from 40 different housing options, including typical dormitories, shared apartments, and specialized houses tailored to certain cultural or academic interests. Underclassmen are required to reside in campus dormitories, although upperclassmen have the option to participate in a lottery or find affordable residences near campus.
