 Qualifiability Standards

Candidates have to be:

• Students who are enrolled in high school or homeschooling and who will graduate during the 2023–2024 academic year from any of the 50 states in the union, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or specific DoD schools are eligible for this award. Students who have already completed their high school education are not eligible.
• United States citizens, nationals, permanent residents, refugees, asylum seekers, Cuban-Haitian immigrants, or humanitarian parolees—in accordance with the standards applied by the U.S. Department of Education for eligibility for Federal Financial Aid
• Anticipating receiving a high school certificate this academic year
• Preparing to seek a degree in a post-secondary authorized institution in the United States
• Able to confirm that their high school curriculum has a minimum overall GPA of B/3.0

Application Inegibility

Candidates might not be:

• Grandchildren or current staff members of Coca-Cola bottling firms, The Coca-Cola Company, or any of the company’s subsidiaries or divisions.
• The beneficiaries of retirement benefits are the offspring or descendants of former employees who worked for Coca-Cola bottling firms, The Coca-Cola Company, or its subsidiaries or divisions.
• Students from abroad (apart from those attending DoD institutions)
• graduates from high school
• Temporary inhabitants

Awards for Scholarships

• Over 1,400 outstanding college students are supported annually by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, which awards $3.55 million in scholarships through three nationally acclaimed programs.
• The Scholarship for the Coca-Cola Scholars Program
• A scholarship based on achievement is given to high school seniors who participate in the Coca-Cola Scholars Program. Students are honored for their ability to serve and lead, as well as for their dedication to having a big influence on their communities and schools. The Foundation has awarded more than $84 million in educational support to over 6,900 Coca-Cola Scholars as of the 36th class in 2024. This $20,000 prize is awarded annually to 150 Coca-Cola Scholars.

The Academic Team of Coca-Cola Community College

Through the Phi Theta Kappa-managed Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team Program, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation is pleased to support two-year universities.

The program distributes 200 stipends, totaling up to $237,500, per year, among four recipient categories in different amounts:

• $1,500 is given to 50 New Century Gold Scholar recipients.
• $1,250 is given to 50 Silver Scholars.
• A $1,000 award is given to 50 Bronze Scholars.

Leaders of Promise at Coca-Cola

The first scholarship program offered to members of Phi Theta Kappa to be used while they are enrolled in community institutions is called Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise. 200 $1,000 scholarships will be given out, one for each member that applies.
