Incheon City provided a school site, and the building of the Inha Institute of Technology began in February 1954, with the institution opening later that year.

It received substantial financial support from government subsidies and foreign aid provided by UNESCO and the German government. The institute had cutting-edge experimental facilities thanks to the initial funding and contributions like the 200 million won donation from Hanjin Trading Co. in 1968.

The Board of Trustees at the Inha Institute was reformed, with Dr. Choong-Hoon Jo becoming the Chairman and Dr. Jwa-Kyung Seong taking on the role of Dean. The change increased the management’s energy and led to the acquisition of cutting-edge experimental and research equipment, the construction of new school facilities, research centers, practice factories, experimental tanks, a library, and a gymnasium. It also attracted top professors, which helped advance the Korean industry.

1. Entrance scholarship

Inha University offers admission awards to recognize outstanding performance on the entrance exam for all incoming freshmen. The Admission Scholarship covers full tuition for 30 students during their initial four years of study at the SOCIE department. It also provides a 50% tuition scholarship for five students during their initial semester in the SBL department.

2. Scholarship for Academic Excellence

Inha University in Tashkent awards academic scholarships to students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement. The foundation grants academic scholarships to students with the highest GPAs each semester.

• Students with a TOPIK 3 or IBT TOEFL 71 (TOEIC 700, IELTS 5.5) or higher receive a 30% discount on tuition and admission fees.
