Why study In Romania
- Explore the exquisite allure of Romania, a nation that offers abundant prospects for overseas students.
- Situated in Southeastern Europe, Romania is the birthplace of the developer of insulin and was also the first city in Europe to have public lighting.
- Romania offers stunning scenery, rich cultural traditions, and the added advantage of having the lowest tuition costs in Europe. It is a perfect destination for students with limited financial resources who nevertheless desire a comprehensive study-abroad experience.
1. Most affordable tuition fees in Europe
Romania boasts over 96 higher education institutions located throughout the country. In response to the significant rise in international students in recent years, an increasing number of these institutions are including English-taught degree programs into their curriculum.
Each year, almost 100,000 international students opt for Romania as their destination to commence their university education. Given the affordable tuition prices of only 600€ per year, the majority of students can afford their housing, meals, transportation, and internet expenses for less than 500 euros per month.
In sectors with high demand, certain courses may cost up to 3,000 euros per year if the university has a strong reputation. For instance, the average cost of Medicine for non-EU students is 5,000 euros per year. Although this price may appear steep, it is far lower than in any other European country.
2. Superior education
Like other European countries, Romania adheres to the Bologna system, which stipulates that bachelor’s degrees typically span 3 years, while master’s programs vary in length from 12 to 24 months depending on the field of study.
The universities in this country are well regarded in Southeast Europe, providing globally recognized degrees to develop highly skilled and competent young workers. Medicine, Dentistry, and Engineering are highly esteemed and in-demand areas of study, mostly because they offer substantial returns on investment and excellent professional prospects upon graduation.
3. There are castles all around.
Romania boasts numerous awe-inspiring landscapes and castles, including Bran Castle, Peles Castle, and Corvin Castle.
Maramures is renowned for its medieval-style towns, villages, and wooden churches. The Carpathian Mountains traverse the central region of the country, providing a blend of pristine landscapes and breathtaking panoramas. Many vistas are devoid of human habitation, but a continuous line of reasonably priced cottages offer lodging for tourists.
In general, Romania is a nation abundant with charming castles, but it offers more than just that. This nation adeptly blends historical and contemporary elements, ensuring a wide range of activities to cater to all individuals. Romania provides a diverse selection of entertainment possibilities, ranging from theaters and operas to lively clubs and parties, catering to various preferences.
4. Hospitable and magnanimous individuals
Romanians embody the essence of kindness and a hospitable nature. Romanians will go to great lengths to assist and demonstrate the exceptional qualities of their country.
The majority of its youthful residents are fluent in English and have a high level of receptiveness towards individuals from other countries. Renowned for their hospitality, they possess an inherent sense of humor and are naturally kind and fond of enjoyment.
When allowed to visit a Romanian household, you will directly encounter their genuine friendliness. Romanians will ensure your inclusion in the kitchen, where they will demonstrate the breadth of their national cuisine and elucidate the intricacies that underlie each recipe.
