Study In Norway: BI Presidential Scholarships 2024

For overseas students seeking a master’s degree, the fully funded BI Presidential Scholarship for 2024–2025 is offered. This scholarship offers a living expenses stipend each semester in addition to full tuition coverage.

BI The largest business school in Norway and the second-largest in all of Europe is Norwegian Business School. Its main campus, one of four total campuses, is located in Oslo. With 441 administrative staff members and 404 academic staff members, the university employs 845 people in total.

Applications for the BI Presidential Scholarship are invited from both Norwegian and foreign students who have demonstrated a remarkable record of academic achievement. All Master of Science program applicants are eligible to apply for this coveted grant.

Level of degree:

Norway: BI Presidential Scholarships 2024–25 (fully funded) is offered to BI Norwegian Business School students pursuing master’s degree programs.

Benefits of the Scholarship:

  • Both foreign and Norwegian applicants who live in Norway: If the recipient meets the conditions for academic progression, the scholarship will pay the entire cost of tuition for each semester for a maximum of two years.
  • Sivøk Applicants: Should the student meet the conditions for academic development, scholarships will cover the entire cost of tuition for each semester for a maximum of two years.
  • International applicants: If the recipient meets the conditions for academic progression, the scholarship will pay for all tuition costs plus a stipend each semester for a maximum of two years. While it helps with living expenditures, the stipend only covers about 70% of total costs.

Nationalities That Qualify:

Both domestic and international students are eligible for this scholarship.

Qualifications:

  • To be taken into consideration, candidates must have at least an ‘A’ overall GPA on the ECTS system or the corresponding top grade on international grade scales.
  • Those enrolled in the third year of the Sivøk program may submit an application.
  • Applicants holding dual citizenship with the EU, EEA, or Switzerland.
  • Applicants from abroad who are eligible for Lånekassen and have ties to Norway.
  • Applicants accepted into either the campus in Bergen or Oslo for a Master of Science program; the BI-Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing program is an exception.
  • Note: This fellowship is not available to international applicants whose citizenship is not in the EU, EEA, or Switzerland.

How to Apply:

  • Submit an application for a scholarship and admittance simultaneously.
  • Write a one-page or less scholarship application letter explaining your reasons for deserving this award. Scholarships are given out based on academic ability rather than the necessity for money.
  • Upload it to your online admissions application in the “Scholarship” section.
  • Complete the necessary paperwork to be considered for admission to a Master of Science program. Only once a full admissions application has been filed and the admissions offer has been accepted will the scholarship application be taken into consideration.
  • In the spring of their third year, BI students enrolled in the Siviløkonom program can apply for a scholarship by sending a letter of application to [email protected] with the subject line: BI Presidential Scholarship Application.
  • The MSc International Scholarship will be awarded to international applicants who apply for the BI Presidential Scholarship. There is no need for a separate letter of application for a scholarship.

Deadline for Applications

The deadline for applications is March 1.

Both domestic and foreign applicants: Uploading your whole admissions application—including your scholarship application—to the online application portal is required. Email submissions are not accepted for scholarship applications.

Third-year Siviløkonom students: Letters of application for scholarships must be sent via email to info@bi.no.

Applications that arrive late won’t be accepted.

Selection of Recipients

  • BI offers a master’s degree scholarship program that is quite significant. But there is fierce competition for scholarships. Every year, master’s candidates submit considerably more applications for scholarships than there are available scholarships.
  • The goal of BI Norwegian Business School is to attract a varied and multicultural student group.
  • Only those who have applied as directed and been accepted into a Master of Science program will be taken into consideration.
  • Applications for scholarships will only be taken into consideration after the admissions offer has been accepted.
  • Scholarship distribution among MSc programs is guaranteed by BI.
  • Scholarships may be awarded by BI by institutional interests, which may include giving priority to particular master’s programs, diversity, gender distribution, or particular BI partner schools.
  • The ECTS scale will be used to evaluate each applicant. Grades from international bachelor’s degrees will be transferred to the ECTS scale for applicants.
  • Other academic accomplishments, GMAT, GRE, or CAT scores, extracurricular activities, and noteworthy personal accomplishments are additional variables that could affect the granting process.
  • The MSc International Scholarship will be awarded to international applicants who apply for the BI Presidential Scholarship.

Notification of Scholarship Recipients

  • Offers of admission are not sent with offers of scholarships. The admissions offer will be made to you first.
  • While they wait for the scholarship choices, applicants must accept the offer of admission.
  • Selected candidates will receive scholarship offers during the admissions season.
  • Offers of scholarships must be accepted by the deadline specified on the offer. Scholarships that are not accepted by the deadline will be revoked or canceled and given to a different applicant.
  • Except for the A. Wilhelmsen Foundation Scholarship and the BI-Luiss Joint Master in Marketing Scholarship, which are given out later in the spring, all scholarships will be awarded by the end of April.
  • By the end of April, all scholarship applicants—including those who are not chosen—will be notified of the scholarship application outcome.
