Benefits of the scholarship:

Academic Grant:

A total of 50 scholarships are available on two occasions each year, occurring every six months.
Each scholarship has a maximum value of $10,000 and can be utilized for either undergraduate or postgraduate courses.
The Scholarship Office will notify you if you are granted a scholarship.

Payment Method for the Scholarship:

The scholarship is deducted from the mandatory payments for your first semester.
To be eligible for the scholarship payment, you must be enrolled as a full-time student in an undergraduate, PGDip, or master’s degree.

Sustaining the Scholarship:

To maintain the scholarship, it is necessary to be registered as a full-time student for a minimum of two semesters at the University of Auckland.

Is it possible to combine this scholarship with others?

This award is not eligible to be coupled with the University of Auckland India High Achievers Award, ASEAN High Achievers Scholarship, or International Business Masters Scholarship.
While it is possible to combine this scholarship with other prizes, it is necessary to inform the Scholarships Office and obtain clearance from the University of Auckland Council.

Eligible Nationalities:

This award is available to students from any country, regardless of their nationality.

Requirements for eligibility:

Who is eligible to apply?

You need to be an international student (see Note II for further information).

There are several possibilities for you:

A prospective student who has received either a conditional or unconditional offer of admission for an undergraduate, postgraduate diploma, or master’s degree program.
A student enrolled in an English Language Academy (ELA) who has received either a conditional or unconditional offer.
A student who is now or is planning to be enrolled full-time in the Summer Start International program, and has received either a conditional or unconditional offer.

Essential criteria:

You need to be currently registered or in the process of registering for a full-time course load in:

A program that offers either a postgraduate diploma (PGDip) or a master’s degree.
A bachelor’s degree program that accepts qualifications earned abroad.
You are not eligible if you have already started studying at the University of Auckland, except for the Summer Start program.
You must not have pursued any prior higher education in New Zealand.

This scholarship does not apply to students who are applying for Business Master programs in the Graduate School of Management (GSM), except for the Master of Applied Finance, Master of Business Analytics, and Master of Supply Chain Management.

Criteria for selection:

A GPA of at least 6.00 is mandatory.

The following factors determine the selection process:

Scholarly excellence.
The level of excellence exhibited in your application letter.
Referee endorsement.
Occasionally, your country of origin and the extent to which your studies match with the university’s objectives may be relevant.
