MTN Ghana is looking for qualified and hardworking individuals to fill in the following positions.
POSITIONS
1. Analyst, BDM Technology Reporting
Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis throughout the development of technology project business cases.
- Analyse the project business plan and carry out benefits realization for technology initiatives.
- Analyse financial and technological strategy reports, providing decision-making insights.
- Verify technical delivery teams’ outputs to ensure that the requirements of the technology project are met.
- Conduct ROI analysis on business cases for IT projects.
- Perform reports during the budgeting and forecasting process for technology initiatives.
- Assess the financial performance of technology projects by comparing and analysing actual results against plans and estimates.
- Identify and push process improvements, such as the development of standard reporting tools, excel, and Power BI dashboards, to improve reporting.
- Determine and report on expenses and business savings strategies for IT projects.
- Enforce EPMO policies and processes that drive cost analysis.
- Support technologically-driven business transformation processes.
- Serve as a change agent in promoting EPMO framework awareness in the technology sector.
Qualification and Experience Required
- University degree in Finance or Telecom Engineering, and relevant experience.
- Three years of accounting or experience in the telecommunications business.
- Adequate grasp of financial and project reporting
- Basic knowledge of program and project management
2. Coordinator, Project Finance Support
Responsibilities:
- Create Information Technology (IT) and Facilities (FAC) Projects in Oracle Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Tool using approved budgets.
- Review and approve project demand baseline budget requests on the system.
- Monitor and track CAPEX spending on information technology (IT) and facilities versus the budget.
- Review Projects Budget Reallocation documents for sign-off in accordance with the governance framework and Delegation of Authority.
- Analyse project costs and import into the Oracle Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Tool.
- Communicate with Project Managers on budget commitments and capitalization reconciliation.
- Perform the relevant PPM System transactions to capitalize the project’s real cost and transfer it to the Fixed Asset Register.
- Analyse project budgets and actual costs in accordance with the Value-Based Capital Allocation (VBCA) Framework.
- Monitor, track, and report on the Capital Projects Group’s (CPG) Divisional Opex budget.
- Assist with the compilation of the annual operational budget.
- Create buy requisitions for Opex orders.
- Prepare payment authorizations for non-purchase order payments.
- Work with finance on the monthly reconciliation of Opex Budget lines.
- Ensure that appropriate monthly accruals/provisions are made for Opex transactions.
- Perform any other duties given by the Manager, Project Finance Support.
Qualification and Experience Required
- A university degree in accounting or finance.
- 3 years of experience in the same or related roles.
- Experience in the telecoms industry will be advantageous.
