Job Title: Curriculum and Teacher Coordinator
The goal of this job is to help our teachers understand and follow the school curriculum in the classroom. We’re looking for a creative person to train, equip, and push our teachers to do their best work with our students in the classroom.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teacher Training: Meet with teachers regularly to train them in creative ways to teach, how to teach critical thinking skills, how to deal with bad behavior, etc.
- Teacher feedback: do regular classroom observations and come up with ways for teachers to keep getting better.
- Developing the curriculum: work with the GES curriculum to make it easier for teachers to follow, add good literature, etc.
- Take care of the buying of learning materials for teachers.
- Make a plan for evaluating special education needs and making accommodations. (This would likely be part of the second phase of the work, once all the other systems are set up.
