HOW TO PREVENT TELEGRAM FROM NOTIFYING YOU WHEN NEW CONTACT JOIN
- First of all launch the app on your device
- At the top, you will see some three dots, tap on them, and select Settings from the menu.
- Tap on notifications and sound.
- Scroll through the menu and go to the Events section. Now disable the contact joined telegram option.
After this feature has been disabled, you will no longer receive push notifications. However, if you have synced your contact, the notifications will appear in the app. To disable this notification permanently, scroll through to privacy and security settings, then delete synced contact this will prevent your contact from being synced in the future.
HOW TO STOP NEW CHATS FROM APPEARING IN TELEGRAM WHEN YOUR CONTACTS JOIN
You automatically have a new chat once your contacts join Telegram. This can be prevented although it will be extreme for some people. To do this, you are required to use Telegram without sharing your contact.
You should have in mind that this method makes it difficult to start new conversations on the app. You may have to resort to searching for people’s usernames rather than their contact once you enable using Telegram without sharing contact. If the person you want to contact has not set a username or has their numbers hidden, you may not find them.
