  • Complete funding for tuition fees for a qualifying one-year master’s program at Warwick, commencing in 2024.
  • A monthly allowance is provided for 12 months to assist with your living expenses.
  • Economy class airfare for a round-trip journey from your country of residence to the United Kingdom.
  • Transportation services are provided for transferring between the arrival airport in the UK and the Warwick campus.

Essential details for applicants from Indonesia and Thailand

Although Indonesia and Thailand are not eligible for the ASEAN-UK SAGE scholarships at Warwick, it is still possible for you to study for a Master’s degree at the university. Requirements for eligibility:

To be eligible for a scholarship, you must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Gender: self-identify as female.
  • Citizenship and Residency: Possess a valid passport and maintain permanent residency in any of the below countries: The countries included on the list are Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Laos PDR, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.
  • Academic Standing: Must have received an unconditional offer for admission to a qualifying Master’s program at Warwick. Applications that are still pending before the scholarship deadline will also be evaluated. Before seeking the scholarship, you must have already applied for the program.
  • Degree Completion: Applicants must have fulfilled all requirements for their undergraduate degree at the time of application. In exceptional cases, pending final awards may be evaluated on an individual basis.

Financial Need:

  • Provide evidence of a compelling requirement for financial assistance and elucidate your socio-economic situation.
  • Funding Restrictions: You must not be receiving financial assistance for your studies in the UK from any other source, and you must be unable to privately finance your education.
  • Previous Education: Please disclose any instances of studying abroad and provide details about the source of funding.
  • UK Education History: You have not previously pursued any form of higher education or online learning in the UK, nor have you studied at a UK branch campus located overseas.
  • Proficiency in English: Fulfill the English language prerequisites for your selected Master’s program.
  • Academic Proficiency & Enthusiasm: Possess the necessary academic qualifications and have clear motivation to excel in a postgraduate program at an institution in the United Kingdom.
  • Topic Experience & Interest: Possess tangible experience or a profound interest in the specific topic of your selected degree.
  • Future Contribution: Pledge to actively participate in enhancing the development of human resources and promoting economic progress in your country of origin after completing your studies.
  • Repatriation Obligation: Consent to repatriate to your place of origin for a minimum duration of two years following the conclusion of your scholarship.
  • Engagement & engagement: sustain ongoing engagement with Warwick University, the British Council, and ASEAN-UK SAGE. Additionally, you will be required to engage in ASEAN-UK SAGE: Women in STEM alumni events throughout and following your academic pursuits.
  • Advocating for STEM Education: Present a well-defined strategy and fervor for inspiring women and girls in your native country to pursue careers in STEM disciplines.
  • Consent for Sharing Data: Consent to the disclosure of your personal information to the British Council and ASEAN-UK SAGE members to evaluate and promote scholarships.

Procedure for Applying:

To be eligible for the ASEAN-UK SAGE: Women in STEM Scholarship at Warwick, you must complete the following two important requirements:

Apply for a Master’s program that meets the following requirements: Obtain an unconditional offer for enrollment in a program that is eligible for the scholarship.

Submit the Scholarship Application: After receiving your program offer, access the designated online scholarship application form and submit it well in advance of the April 2024 deadline.
