Requirements for eligibility:
To be eligible for a scholarship, you must satisfy the following requirements:
- Gender: self-identify as female.
- Citizenship and Residency: Possess a valid passport and maintain permanent residency in any of the below countries: The countries included on the list are Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Laos PDR, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.
- Academic Standing: Must have received an unconditional offer for admission to a qualifying Master’s program at Warwick. Applications that are still pending before the scholarship deadline will also be evaluated. Before seeking the scholarship, you must have already applied for the program.
- Degree Completion: Applicants must have fulfilled all requirements for their undergraduate degree at the time of application. In exceptional cases, pending final awards may be evaluated on an individual basis.
Financial Need:
- Provide evidence of a compelling requirement for financial assistance and elucidate your socio-economic situation.
- Funding Restrictions: You must not be receiving financial assistance for your studies in the UK from any other source, and you must be unable to privately finance your education.
- Previous Education: Please disclose any instances of studying abroad and provide details about the source of funding.
- UK Education History: You have not previously pursued any form of higher education or online learning in the UK, nor have you studied at a UK branch campus located overseas.
- Proficiency in English: Fulfill the English language prerequisites for your selected Master’s program.
- Academic Proficiency & Enthusiasm: Possess the necessary academic qualifications and have clear motivation to excel in a postgraduate program at an institution in the United Kingdom.
- Topic Experience & Interest: Possess tangible experience or a profound interest in the specific topic of your selected degree.
- Future Contribution: Pledge to actively participate in enhancing the development of human resources and promoting economic progress in your country of origin after completing your studies.
- Repatriation Obligation: Consent to repatriate to your place of origin for a minimum duration of two years following the conclusion of your scholarship.
- Engagement & engagement: sustain ongoing engagement with Warwick University, the British Council, and ASEAN-UK SAGE. Additionally, you will be required to engage in ASEAN-UK SAGE: Women in STEM alumni events throughout and following your academic pursuits.
