Study In Indonesia: KNB Indonesian Government Scholarship 2024

Applying for the KNB Indonesian Government Scholarship 2024–2025 is now open. It’s a well-known scholarship that covers tuition for undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate degrees at participating Indonesian universities. Thirteen Indonesian universities provide 1,457 study options as part of the KNB Scholarship program.

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia will select 222 applicants for the KNB Scholarship in 2024. The idea for the scholarship originated during the 10th Conference of Heads of State of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Nations, which took place from September 1–6, 1992. In the subsequent year, prospective students from NAM member nations were first made aware of the scholarship by the government of the Republic of Indonesia.

The scholarship’s geographical exclusivity was lifted in 2002 due to its growing international appeal. At that point, the Kemitraan Negara Berkembang Scholarship (KNB) was formally established, and recipients were no longer restricted to NAM member nations. As of right now, developing nations in Asia, the Pacific, South America, Africa, and Eastern Europe have also been eligible for the scholarship. Duration of Scholarship

For all applicants, a one-year Indonesian language training program (BIPA) is required.

• Bachelors: 48 months, or 8 semesters

KNB Scholarship Qualifications

• According to the Indonesian government, you have to be a citizen of a developing nation.
• Fulfill the academic prerequisites of the college or university you wish to attend.
• Administer the TOEFL ITP, IBT, and TOEIC exams.
• Nationals of English-speaking nations are exempt from taking the English Language Test.
• Those who previously attended an English-medium school just need to provide documentation demonstrating their proficiency in the language in writing and speaking. They are not required to take the English Language Test.
• You must be at least 21 years old to be eligible for a bachelor’s grant.
• You have to be at least 35 years old to be eligible for a master’s award.
• You must be at least 40 years old to be eligible for a PhD award.
• You need to obtain a letter of recommendation from the Indonesian embassy or consulate to apply for the KNB Scholarship.
• Provide a teacher’s recommendation letter.
• Complete the online application form.

Submit the offering letter, official passport, English proficiency test (for applicants from non-English-speaking countries), recommendation letter from the Indonesian Embassy, a recommendation from the employer or immediate supervisor, academic transcripts and certificates from prior education, recommendation letter from a potential research supervisor at one of the universities that partner with KNB Scholarship (for doctoral applicants only), and statement of purpose of study in Indonesia (for doctoral applicants only) via the KNB Scholarship website. 3. Procedure for selection.

The KNB Scholarship Website will host an online broadcast of the election results, and the Indonesian Embassy publication network will formally announce them.
