POSITION: Partnership Facilitator II
Our intermediate professional is Compassion’s main contact with local churches and strengthens their ownership, capacity, and resources to minister to children and youth in their setting. As the main contact, this facilitator fosters respectful, trusting, and service-oriented relationships with church partners to strengthen church ministry.
He or she must facilitate partner relationships through the Partner Management core process, improve church outcomes, and bring a developmental attitude to all other parts of the partnership. The incumbent works independently on moderately complicated projects or goals with other specialists at this career level. He or she may train facilitators.
Responsibilities
- Personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Has a continuous witness for Jesus Christ, treats individuals inside and outside Compassion with courtesy and Christ-likeness, and prays for Compassion’s ministry.
- Provides personal commitment to serve, respect, and strengthen the church according to Compassion’s ministry values.
- Church Maturation Developmental mentality and Partnership Management core process boost church ownership and capacity.
- Encourages church partners to reflect on youth and church outcomes and plan for capacity and maturity.
- Helps churches pool resources and share them. Helps churches locate and use local resources, services, and relationships, as well as maximize their own resources for children and youth ministry. Promotes partnerships to boost partner churches’ ministry.
- Program Cycle — Supports church partner throughout program cycle.
- Helps the church create an annual strategy and budget for program interventions.
- Implementation – Works with other CFT members to help church partners execute their interventions and track results.
- Evaluation – Works with other CFT members to help church partners learn and reflect on intervention efficacy to drive next cycle preparation.
- Coordinates Church Facing Team (CFT) support for church partners.
- Actively promotes cluster interactions.
- Promotes cluster-based collaboration and initiatives amongst local churches to improve child ministry, peer-to-peer learning, and family and community needs.
- Ensures Compassion and Church partner cooperation agreement renewal on schedule.
- May seek advice from a senior facilitator.
- Accountable to Partnership Management strategic process objectives with cross-functional partners. Implements local process and self-development enhancements based on church data and feedback.
- Complies with church, programmatic, and sponsor involvement Compassion commitments. Partners with local cross-functional specialists and Program Support or
- Business Support staff who oversee Compassion’s deliverables to assure quality and completeness.
- Uses mobilization and facilitation skills to identify church partners’ needs and collaborates with cross-functional professionals to find creative solutions.
- May offer collaboration expertise to other professionals and workers.

Education
Bachelor of related studies.
Experience
Three–five years of relevant experience in this or a related subject.

Working Environment
Standard office environment
Physical Demands
Up to 8 hours of sitting, standing, or walking per day
Travel Needs
May need to travel 50% of schedule.
