Mantrac Ghana LTD is looking to hire a Health, Safety, and Environment Officer.
Objectives
- Ensures safety policies and practices align with Mantrac Group’s vision and principles, as well as global practices.
- Provides detailed reports on incidents, risks, and safety performance.
- Develops procedures for managing and disposing hazardous substances.
- Monitors and improves branch Health, Safety, and Environment procedures.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure safety policies and practices align with global best practices.
- Lead safety/toolbox talks.
- Create procedures for managing and disposing hazardous substances.
- Create a comprehensive standard operating procedure for branch operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to safe working and environmental practices.
- Review safe working procedures as needed.
- Maintain an up-to-date record of all health, safety, and environmental activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- A excellent first degree in BSc. engineering will be a benefit, but not needed.
- Certification from NEBOSH, IOSH, or OHSAS. – Lead Auditor Certification and/or Internal Auditor Certification – Certification is a benefit, but not required.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of global health, safety, and environmental protocols
