Position Title: Protection and Control Officer

JOB OUTLINE

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and/or put into place security protocols for storing information and papers that are private.
• Offer overall operations and monitoring of access control, intrusions, and other security systems.
• Provide and put into place security plans for all assigned buildings.
• Perform ongoing supervision of Third Party Security Guards and make sure that Mantrac Ghana Ltd’s procedures for access control are being followed.
• Write down the contractor’s attendance and coverage for a monthly report to representative when needed and keep an eye on the devices in the Control Room.
• Management should make sure that these records are kept well.
• Make sure the Guards’ patrols and other important activities are written down and kept up-to-date (Visitors Logs, VMS, Vehicle logs, Equipment In/Out logs).
• Make sure Third Party Security Guards know Mantrac Ghana’s security policies and procedures and follow them when doing their jobs.
• Through a third-party contractor, give daily tasks to security staff.
• Make sure that posts are always staffed.
• Make daily operational reports and send them in.
• Help find and evaluate security risks, and suggest ways to fix them.

Reqirements

• KNOWLEDGE: Security systems (CCTV, access control, Intrusion Systems, Tracking of Vehicles, etc.)
• SKILLS: Expertise with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and good communication skills.
• EXPERIENCE: At least three years working in security and control for a multinational company or a multinational mining company.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A good first degree from a university that is recognized by the government.
• Training or certification in professional investigations (CSMP, PSI, CPP etc.)
• A good understanding of Ghana’s law and justice system
