Laboratory Technician Needed at a Mining Company
A mining company situated in the Western Region of Ghana requires, for immediate employment, the following:
POSITION: Laboratory Technician
Responsibilities:
- Firstly, Collecting, receiving, labeling, and/or analyzing samples or substances using the correct testing equipment, when necessary.
- Secondly, Designing and executing laboratory testing in line with standard testing procedures, recording observations, and interpreting findings.
- Thirdly, Recording all experimental data and test results accurately and in the specified format (written and/or electronic.)
- Moreover, Organizing and storing all chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions.
- Additionally, Ensuring that safety guidelines are adhered to at all times within the laboratory.
- Furthermore, Maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
- Then, Cleaning, sterilizing, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment.
- Also, Ordering laboratory supplies, as needed.
- Afterwards, Providing technical support, when necessary.
- Finally, Keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments.
Requirements
- Experience of a minimum of 5 years in the operations of a mining laboratory.
- Applicant must be conversant with the Mongolian or Chinese languages.
- Must also have a First Degree in Chemical Engineering.
