Job Description

Helps the Facilities Manager with questions about existing properties and facilities

Helps to keep buildings from falling apart and make sure they last as long as possible by using operations and maintenance processes and standards wisely.

Responsibilities

  • Help put together and carry out the operations and maintenance annual plan.
  • Could help the facilities manager plan building renovations.
  • Help check facilities on a regular basis to make sure they meet approved standards.
  • Helps manage resources, such as staff, contractors, and vendors, so that the annual plan can be carried out.
  • Help the Facilities Manager find contractors and vendors and make sure that their work and services meet the standards that have been set.
  • Talks to customers, employees, vendors, and contractors often to build and keep good relationships.

Qualifications

  • Strongly preferred: BS degree in facilities management, construction management, business, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of facility and property management, building procedures, business practices, safety, and fire codes
  • Exposure to front-line management skills in a multi-discipline work environment.
  • Ability to talk to priesthood leaders, contractors, and vendors in a professional way.
