St. Francis College of Education in Hohoe is a well-known public Catholic teacher education school. As part of the plan to change how teachers are trained, the College is linked to the University of Cape Coast. The college’s goal is to be a well-known College of Education that trains top-notch science and math teachers for basic schools in Ghana and around the world. The college’s goal is to create a place that helps students grow as whole people and supports teaching, learning, and research.

What the job entails

The job of the procurement officer includes

• Overseeing the maintenance and updating of an accurate database of consultants, service providers, and suppliers,
• Making procurement plans for goods, works, and services for the College,
• Helping to put in place systems and procedures to make sure that entities get the best value for their money when buying things, and helping to advertise tenders.
• The Procurement Officer must do his or her job in a way that is in line with the relevant laws and the College’s Statutes.

Skills or Experience Needed

• Those who want to apply must have at least a Master’s degree in Procurement Management or a related field.
• You need to have a Professional Qualification in Procurement or a related field.
• Applicants must have worked for at least four (5) years as a Senior Assistant Procurement Officer in a College of Education or a similar position in a similar institution or organization.
• Applicants must be able to use computers and know how to use the right software.
• Staff at this level are expected to have good judgment, initiative, resourcefulness, accuracy, and professionalism in their area of expertise.
