POSITION: Manager, Risk Management

Job Summary

• Effectively manage all internal and external risk exposures (strategic, operational, compliance, financial, technological, external) related to corporate policies, processes, laws, and regulations.
• Responsible for reporting to the business on risk management processes in accordance with Enterprise Risk strategy and best practices, providing specialized advice and recommendations as needed, and planning and guiding Risk Analysts to conduct detailed risk assessments and/or risk deep dives, analyses, and remediation monitoring across all potential internal and external risks.

Job Role

• Implement and monitor the specified Enterprise Risk Management program and methodology for the designated region, in compliance with internal and industry benchmarks.
• Assist management with automation through technological tools (eGRC)
• Research new risks and trends in the Telcom & ICT business and advise management as needed
• Manage the identification and evaluation with the help of divisional risk champions.
• Facilitate Governance Committee Meetings and ensure that all relevant risk inputs are incorporated during the engagement.
• Manage the Risk Dashboard for the Risk Partnership regions.
• Manage the organization’s annual/biannual Business Impact Analysis.
• Conduct gap studies on current risk issues in major business areas as part of the integrated plan.
• Manage the risk dashboards for executive management.
• Manage the performance of the organization’s ERM, BCM, CRM, and IRM Maturity Assessments using the Group’s model.
• Manage the annual/biannual signing of Management Attestations.
• Contribute to the yearly risk management strategy that is aligned with BRM topics.
• Documenting red flags, escalations, and acceptances in accordance with the risk escalation and acceptance policy.
• Ensure the effective implementation of the Continuous Control Management (CCM) framework and identify essential control areas for inclusion in the CCM tool.
• Oversee the identification and classification of mitigating controls for each control breakdown.
• Communicate exception reports to management and build mitigation plans.
• Prepare and communicate exception reports to Audit for Continuous Auditing.
• Ensure continual reassessment of the agreed controls.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• A degree in business, accounting, computer science, or a related field.
• A suitable international certification in risk management, business continuity, and insurance is mandatory.

Experience

• At least 5 years of similar experience, especially in IT/Telecoms/Financial Services, with at least 3 years as a supervisor.
• Extensive experience in project management, report writing, and presentation.

Training

• Risk management, business continuity, information security management, and analytics (CCM).
• Leadership and management programs.

Knowledge:

• The Enterprise Risk Management Methodology or ISO Risk Management Standard 31000 Process Management and Maturity Models
• BCM methodology and reviews (ISO 22301 Standard) cover incident and crisis management, emergency preparedness, recovery modes/methods, IS disaster recovery strategies, and so on.
• Information security risk management.
• Corporate governance models, such as King IV.
• Understanding insurance risks.
• A thorough understanding of the business processes that apply to a mobile telecommunications operator.
• Data Analytics
• Understanding of industry standards for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and
• Business Case Management (BCM). For example, ISO 22301/BS 25999.
• Basic IT infrastructure expertise is advantageous.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
• Understanding of mobile telecommunications infrastructure and business operations.
• Strong understanding of project management and risk trends.
