IS YOUR PHONE SCREEN BLACK AND WHITE? TRY THESE FIXES

All over the world, smartphone users are met with unplanned surprises that come as a result of an accident or usage of the device. An example of such a surprise is the black and white screen on mobile devices.

Having your phone’s screen go black or white can be unpleasant especially if you are not able to perform any task. Many smartphone users have made complaints about this situation.

WHY YOUR PHONE GOES WHITE OR BLACK

The white or black lines on your phone screen could be a result of the following.

1 . INTERNAL OR PHYSICAL DAMAGE

This damage could be a result of your phone falling hard on the floor or it could be that it has come into contact with water. Many phone users can admit that their phones fall to the ground unintentionally like four times a month. And as this happens the white or black screen does not begin immediately. It may take some time before the effect of the fall will be felt.

2 . WEAR AND TEAR

Another cause for the black or white screen could be because the phone has been used extensively. When a phone has a newer model released most of the time, the older models get phased out and may no longer receive updates to help it function properly.

3 . INCOMPLETE UPDATE

Normally, while your phone is running an update, you will be prompted not to turn off the phone till the update is completed. Interrupting an update process is one of the means you get a white or black screen and the beginning of other problems. To avoid this, ensure that you plug in your phone while there is an update.

HOW TO FIX YOUR PHONE WHEN YOUR SCREEN TURNS BLACK AND WHITE

1 . SHUT DOWN AND RESTART YOUR PHONE

Restart your phone by holding down the Volume Up key and Power Button on the side of your smartphone at the same time until the phone shuts down, automatically it will come up again. Most of the time it is because of a malfunctioning of the operating system.

2 . REMOVE THE BATTERY WHERE APPLICABLE

We know most smartphones today have an inbuilt battery. However, if your device happens to have a removable battery just for some time and see if your phone goes back to normal.

3 . SAFELY REMOVE THE MEMORY CARD

A corrupted memory card can cause your phone’s screen to go black and white. Knowing this, you can safely eject the card from your phone. Make sure you turn off the device before taking the card off. Once that is done, you can turn your phone on.

IN CONCLUSION

If after trying these means and other ones you come across and your problem still persists, just send it to a phone repair shop and have it fixed.
