Education Development Center (EDC) Invites Job Applications

We are currently looking for qualified and experienced candidates for the positions below:

1 .  Technical Advisor 

  • Demonstrates increased responsibilities in leading and managing technical teams;
  • Proven technical expertise and knowledge of international evidence-based approaches to improved literacy outcomes and systems strengthening to support Early Grade Literacy;
  • Experience in building accountability and improved educational outcomes through School Management Committee and other community-based structures preferred;
  • Experience in teacher professional development, curriculum, and materials development, using technology to support instruction and learning, and/or instructional leadership development;
  • Understanding of and experience with best practices in disability-inclusive and gender-responsive pedagogy; Universal Design for Learning; and social-emotional learning;
  • Experience in a collaborating, learning, and adapting (CLA)-focused management environment.

2 . Deputy Chief Of Party

  • Management experience in areas such as finance, procurement, operations, and human resources preferred; 
  • Education sector experience in policy advocacy, monitoring, oversight, capacity building preferred;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing

3 . Chief Of Party

  • Experience leading policy dialogue, strategic planning, and implementation efforts;
  • Strong management skills, leadership qualities, interpersonal skills, cross-cultural skills, and written and oral presentation skills;
  • Prior experience working on USAID-funded projects and strong knowledge of USAID rules and regulations;
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of capacity development and professional development is preferred;

4 . Director of Finance 

  • Direct and support the Finance, Administration, Operations and Procurement staff to manage all financial and operational issues of the project, to improve procedures, increase efficiency and provide the means to accomplish project goals; 
  • Monitor project spending, including quarterly analysis to identify over or under spending, bring any issues to the attention of the Chief of Party for action; 
  • Serve as a liaison with EDC Home Office Accounting to facilitate financial management processes including contributing to the preparation of cost to complete projections, providing guidance and oversight on project financial management, and participating as appropriate, in the resolution of financial issues; and    
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to donor regulations and procedures including maintenance of internal controls, accountability of EDC resources for all financial and operational issues.
