The steps that I will be listed here are highly focused on MTN MoMo, however, the steps are not restricted to MTN MoMo only. Before you can perform the MoMo reset, you need to set a recovery number first, or else you cannot reset your MoMo pin when you lose it.
STEPS
- Firstly, Dial *170# and select Option 6 (My Wallet)
- Select Option 5 (Change & Reset Pin)
- Select Option 2 (Reset Pin)
- Select Option 1 (Self Pin Reset)
- Select Option 1 (Add Recovery Contact)
- Select Option 4 (Reset Pin) A temporary password will be sent to your recovery number.
- Input the temporary password.
- Input the new four-digit pin you would like to use as your pin code and repeat.
Mobile Money (MoMo) Pin Recovery Number Registration
- Dial *170# and select Option 6 (My Wallet)
- Select Option 5 (Change & Reset Pin)
- Select Option 2 (Reset Pin)
- Select Option 1 (Self Pin Reset)
- Input any number that you prefer to use.
- Enter your current Mobile Money pin code to confirm.
- Enter OTP (One Time Password) which is a code that will be sent to the number you entered to confirm the code.
