5 CHINESE UNIVERSITIES WITH MORE AFRICAN STUDENTS
Chinese universities have become a popular option among international students over the past decade. The number of African scholars and students opting to study in China increased by 258% between 2011 and 2017.
According to the international development consultancy, Development Reimagined. China hosted 74,011 students from 24 African countries. This figure makes up 15% of the overall 490,000 international students they welcomed. The numbers have been steadily growing from the year 2017 to date.
1 . Firstly, BEIJING LANGUAGE AND CULTURE UNIVERSITY
To begin with, the BEIJING LANGUAGE AND CULTURE UNIVERSITY. The Beijing Language and Culture University (BCLU) is known as the “mini-United Nations” of Chinese universities. It is also the only institution in China that specializes in offering Chinese language and culture courses to foreign students.

The number of International Students is about 7,412. Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) is another premier C9 League member Chinese university. It focuses on high scientific research and technological innovation.
The institution is currently having 71 undergraduate programs covering nine major disciplines, that is economics, law, literature, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, as well as arts. SJTU has housed about 300,000 students globally, including former Chinese presidents Jiang Zemin and Tsien.

The number of International Students there is about 7, 193. The third and last C9 League member on this list is Zhejiang University (ZJU). The university is a public research institution. It is considered to be one of China’s oldest, most selective, and most prestigious universities.
Also, it has 37 colleges, schools, and departments offering more than 140 undergraduate and 300 graduate programs.
