4 African countries with the cheapest gas prices in 2022
A report by Zutobi, an international driver’s education company, has shown the countries with the cheapest gas prices globally. The report examines gas prices in over 150 countries and territories. They used the best-selling car across the world that is the Toyota Corolla. This car is used to calculate how far you can travel on $50 worth of fuel in each country.
Again, they indicated that the countries with the cheapest petrol include mostly oil-rich countries. This made the South American country Venezuela, top the chart. The country has the largest known reserves of crude oil in the world. It sells petrol at $0.03 per liter and $0.11 per gallon. The four African countries with the cheapest gas prices in 2022 include;
1 . To begin with, LIBYA ($0.15 per gallon)
On the list of countries with the cheapest gas prices in 2022, Libya makes the first count. The price of octane-95 gasoline is 0.15 Libyan Dinar per liter. For comparison, the average price of gasoline in the world for this period is 6.81 Libyan Dinar.
2 . Secondly, ALGERIA ($1.46 per gallon)
Algeria ranks second aside from Libya as the country with the cheapest gas prices. As of January 2022, the price of gasoline in Algeria was around 46 Algerian dinars per liter. This corresponds to about 0.33 U.S. dollars per liter.
3 . Thirdly, ANGOLA ($1.60 per gallon)
The last but one in the top four countries with the cheapest gas prices in Africa in Angola. The price of octane-95 gasoline is 160 Angolan Kwanza per liter. For comparison, the average price of gasoline in the world for this period is 610.82 Angolan Kwanza.
4 . Also, Nigeria ($1.82 per gallon)
The last on the list of the top four countries with the cheapest gas prices in Africa is Nigeria. The price of octane-95 gasoline is 172.61 Nigerian Naira per liter.
