Residential Living

Even though your time in college is primarily spent studying, you’ll also make new friends and form new homes, and Western Carolina University’s residence halls are a terrific place to start.

We offer hygienic, secure, and healthful living quarters that complement and uphold WCU’s educational mission, objectives, and beliefs.

Our goal is to establish learning and living environments where students feel appreciated for who they are as individuals and where diversity and camaraderie with others are encouraged. We encourage and offer opportunities for personal growth and development of character, leadership, honesty, respect, and pride in addition to upholding a high standard of quality service.

The amenities, conveniences, and experiences that come with living in a residence hall significantly improve campus life. Research conducted on college and university students nationwide has revealed that living on campus is associated with higher graduation rates, higher GPAs, and higher levels of satisfaction with the academic experience.

Wellness and Recreation on Campus (CRW)

CRW offers outdoor, sporting, and fitness programs to encourage the college community to lead healthy lifestyles.

Campus Events

Campus Activities exists to help you make the most of your time on campus because we understand that life is about more than just academics. Learn about the many free or inexpensive extracurricular activities available to students, such as movies and concerts on campus, art and cultural events, and outings to local plays, exhibits, concerts, and more.

Part of the campus heart is the A.K. Hinds University Center, which is situated in the middle of the campus. You can study, hang out with friends, go to events and movies, and try out new things at the UC.

Campus Food

Dining should, in our opinion, be an experience rather than merely a necessity. We’ve made a lot of effort to establish a warm and inviting ambiance at each of our dining venues because of this. We are here to support your needs whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite to eat between classes, having a leisurely lunch with friends, or taking part in one of our many activities.

Our on-campus eating offerings are made with our students’ needs in mind. We’ve prioritized providing wholesome and delectable meal options that are produced with premium, fresh ingredients, and we have a committed registered dietician on staff who can assist you with dining out.
