2024/25 Concordia University admissions (Scholarship + No Application Fees)
International students can now apply to study at Concordia University in St. Paul, USA, with fully funded scholarship programs. For information on the requirements for qualifying, the advantages of the scholarship, and the application process, please read this article through to the end.
ABOUT ST. PAUL’S CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY
Concordia University, St. Paul, is a Christ-centered, liberal arts university with a broad campus that offers academic programs made to address the demands of the labor market by imparting employable skills and knowledge.
As one of the six colleges and universities of the LCMS nationwide, CSP is a part of the Concordia University System. Concordia St. Paul was founded with the intention of serving as a training ground for young men preparing to enter the LCMS’s professional ministries. Description of the Scholarship
Students who take advantage of university-approved study abroad programs are referred to as “in-residences,” and most need-based and academic financial aid is applicable to study abroad programs. There are several exceptions, such as work-study, athletic scholarships, and music performances, all of which call for on-campus attendance.
Aid with Finances
Every student requesting financial assistance has to:
- be admitted, keep up a strong academic status, and
- Fill out the Federal Student Aid Free Application (FAFSA). Instructions on how to send your financial data to Concordia University (whose code is 002347) can be found on the FAFSA. Every calendar year, following the filing of taxes for the previous year, students who want to be evaluated for financial aid must submit the FAFSA online (usually between October and April of each year).
- Visit https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa to access the FAFSA. May 1st is the deadline set by the university for priority funding, which includes the SEOG Grant, among other things.
Financial Assistance for Clergy Employment
Students enrolling in undergraduate church work programs at the College of Humanities & Social Sciences or the College of Education are eligible to apply for Church Vocation Scholarships. Students must apply each year to both their local congregation and church district in order to be eligible for this prize. Assistance with Summer School Fees
There may be restrictions on traditional undergraduate students’ eligibility for financial aid during the summer semester. If they are eligible for summer aid, students are advised to get in touch with the Student Financial Services Office.
Financial Assistance and Leaving or Not Attending Concordia University
- A learner may be compelled to repay part or all of the federal, state, institutional, and/or private financial aid that was initially provided if they obtain financial aid and later withdraw from all or parts of their classes at Concordia University.
- All or part of an anticipated refund check may be returned to the grant, scholarship, or loan source from which the student got funding if the help came from sources other than their family.
Scholarships: Types and Advantages
Sports Scholarships
All of Concordia University’s sports have athletic scholarships available. In order to be eligible for scholarships, students must be admitted to the university’s conventional undergraduate program and meet NCAA II requirements. The scholarship recipients are chosen and awarded by the head coach of each individual sport. Also, scholarships are awarded for a single year only and are renewable in accordance with NCAA regulations.
Scholarships for merit at university
Scholarships for renewable merit are given to incoming freshmen based on their academic performance in high school and, for new transfer students, their academic performance in college. The scholarships are given out at the moment of Concordia University’s acceptance. The merit scholarships have values between $1000 and $10,000.
Lutheran Heritage Foundation Award
Students from Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) congregations who meet regular admissions requirements may apply for the Lutheran Heritage Scholarship. This scholarship is open to new, full-time, first-year, and transfer students. If the necessary GPA is met, this scholarship is renewable.
Diversity Incentives
Scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,000 are given to first-generation college students, students from diverse backgrounds, and students who have taken part in college preparedness initiatives. The scholarships are awarded to newly accepted students enrolling in regular undergraduate programs.
To be eligible, students must also have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75. The Diversity Scholarship is given in addition to academic awards, and there is no need to apply for it. If academic progress is sufficient, the scholarship can be renewed.
Legacy Scholarship at Concordia
given to newly admitted students who have a family member who is enrolled at Concordia University, St. Paul, and who are participating in traditional undergraduate programs. The award is $1,000 per academic year (fall and spring entry terms only).
In addition to academic scholarships, there is no need to apply for this scholarship. Students have to be enrolled full-time and pursuing a degree. Scholarships are renewed, provided that students continue to make sufficient progress.
Qualifications for Applicants
- Students in undergraduate programs must be enrolled in at least six credits per semester, be in good standing with regard to any prior Stafford Loans borrowed (i.e., not in default), and be within the US Department of Higher Education’s lifetime usage limits in order to be eligible for financial aid from sources derived from the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Also, students enrolled in one or more credits may be eligible for a Minnesota State Grant or a Pell Grant. Undergraduate traditional (non-Cohort) financial aid grants, unless otherwise specified, are given for a single academic year (fall and spring semesters).
- Every year, financial assistance requests must be made by completing the FAFSA and/or any other paperwork that the DOE determines is necessary.
