Aquinas College Admissions 2024/24: No tuition fee + funding

Aquinas education produces well-rounded people who are ready to accomplish their objectives. As a liberal arts college, we place equal emphasis on laying the groundwork for a life of perpetual learning as we do on fantastic professions. Our alumni are leaders, critical thinkers, and service-oriented.

At Aquinas, applications are reviewed as they are finished, a process known as rolling admissions. We take great satisfaction in reviewing applications holistically, taking into account extracurricular activities, coursework, and exceptional situations while making an admissions decision.

Find Your Course

We recognize that selecting the college that best suits you can be difficult. An education at Aquinas is transformative because of the interactions our students develop with our instructors and staff. You could be a saint if you desire to lead a life that is meaningful and purposeful, in addition to being full of accomplishments.

Qualifications for First-Year Applications

The following documents are required for first-year applicants to be considered for admission:

  • The free application for Aquinas College and
  • A certified transcript from high school
  • A minimum of 15 appropriate academic units from a high school with accreditation must be submitted. The 15 units should be distributed in a way that provides a fair overview of the subjects typically covered in a curriculum for college preparation. The Committee on Admissions may decide to waive the high school graduation criterion in the event of an exceptional student.

Criteria for Transfer Applications

A student who has attended or is currently enrolled in another college or university and is of conventional age—defined by the federal government as under the age of 24—is considered a transfer student. Please think about applying to one of our continuing education programs if you don’t fit these requirements.

There are further requirements for prospective transfer nursing students.

All candidates for transfers must turn in the following:

  • Aquinas College application without a cost
  • Official transcripts of any prior college coursework, which must come directly from the institution,
  • A cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 over at least 12 credit hours at the 100 level or above

Requirements for international students

Students from around 25 different nations attend Aquinas College. Although country-specific standards for entry differ, international students who qualify for the processing of an F-1 foreign student visa must submit the following:

  • Aquinas College application without a cost
  • A duplicate passport ID page
  • Official transcripts from educational institutions, translated into English,
  • Proof of English language competency, and
  • Verification of funding assistance

Need for English Proficiency

International candidates must take one of the following exams to prove they can communicate in English:

  • The TOEFL (IbT 79)
  • TOEFL (6.5)
  • 53% PTE
  • English Test on Duolingo (105)
  • Pre-1) EIKEN
  • Certificate of ELS 112*

Students who attend an international secondary school where instruction is conducted entirely in English for at least two years, or those from nations where English is the native or predominant language, are typically excluded from needing to demonstrate their English competence.

If any information suggests that there is a language barrier in English, verification of proficiency may still be required.  The Director of Admissions has the final say on this matter.

*If a student completes the 112 level of an authorized ELS program before enrolling at Aquinas College, they will be eligible for an extra award.

Evidence of Financial Needs

Students must use their Student Status page to upload documentation of their financial assistance. What students need to turn in is this:

Parent’s Income Declaration:

This might be a tax return from the government that lists their income, a statement from their employer, or the person in control of the business’s finances.

Policy on Transfer Credit

Up to 60 semester hours of credit from an authorized community or junior college may be transferred to Aquinas. All liberal arts and science credits that you have earned at your former school or schools and that are suitable to your degree program may be transferred if you are coming from a four-year college.

Aquinas’ general education requirements, except a Theological Foundation course, a Writing Intensive course, and a Senior Capstone, will automatically be satisfied if you earn an Associate of Arts degree. Students may need to fulfill the English and math competency criteria.

International Students’ Needs

Before the commencement of classes, all international students must attend an orientation for new students. They will familiarize themselves with their surroundings and receive tools to help them get ready for their studies in the United States during this period.

Students in High School

For a Basic High School review, the student needs to give an official copy of their academic records to InCred. After InCred receives a complete dossier, applicants should anticipate 10 to 15 business days for the evaluation to be finished. This evaluation will set you back $95; please pay InCred at the time of request submission.

Switching to a second bachelor’s degree

For a thorough, course-by-course assessment, all foreign post-secondary transcripts from non-US institutions must be sent directly to one of the four accredited evaluation services:

  • Evaluators of educational credentials (ECE)
  •  InCred
