Vivo Energy Calls For Job Applications
Position: Africa Lubes Logistics Co-ordinator
The position is part of the Central Distribution Team. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the Lubes logistics supply chain from the source at LOBPS to OUs in Vivo Energy to meet cost optimization/reduction, OTIF, and lead time targets, reporting to the Africa Lubes Logistics Manager. Manage freight forwarders to reduce lead time to OUs and maintain documentation and shipping accuracy.
Principal Responsibilities
HSSE
- Maintain the highest quality standards and absolute supplier compliance with HSSE criteria.
- Participate in HSSE events (such as safety days and safety walks).
- Potential incidents should be reported.
Operations Management and Reporting
- Drive the company’s Freight Forwarding activity.
- Management of day-to-day operations from all sources to the OUs: verify that each operation’s operations are in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure and the Service Level Agreement
- Monitor the Open Shipments for all markets.
- Managing export / import activities while adhering to local legislation (each country’s inspection and documentation requirements)
- Handle complaints and ensure higher customer satisfaction.
- Prepare the necessary reporting and dashboards for VE Logistics Management, as well as integrate all operational data for KPI reports at the end of each month, review performance, and challenge freight forwarders.
- Prepare a presentation/report for the Freight Forwarders’ QBR (Quarterly Business Review).
- Prepare monthly Implant KPIs -own performance in accordance with KPIs agreed upon between the freight forwarder and the company
- Make certain that all Demurrages are tracked with the goal of reaching Zero. A detailed loss analysis will be performed for each, and lessons learned will be implemented.
- Help all OU planners improve forecast accuracy.
Management of Performance
- Hold weekly meetings with suppliers to ensure that the contractual SLA agreed-upon Target is met.
- Identify and prioritize areas for improvement, then implement the appropriate corrective steps.
- Making certain that all Demurrages are tracked with the goal of reaching Zero. A detailed loss analysis will be performed for each, and lessons learned will be implemented.
- For maximum delivery, ensure that the container’s agreed-upon configuration is followed.

Requirements
Job knowledge, abilities, and experiences:
- A Business degree in a relevant discipline is required, as well as a Professional Certification in Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a multinational Supply Chain function.
- Excellent knowledge of African geography and relationships in the fuels and lubricants industry
- Understanding of local import operations (some logistics and supply experience preferred)
- English and French proficiency is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to influence others while working digitally with a team are required.
- Detail-oriented with great analytical abilities.
