Unit Manager—Metallurgy Technical Services at Mensin Gold Bibiani Ltd
Mensin Gold Bibiani Ltd. (MGBL), a subsidiary of Asante Gold Corporation, is seeking candidates for the following jobs for its mining project in Bibiani, Western North Region: Unit Manager—Metallurgy Technical Services
Job Purpose
To provide comprehensive Metallurgical technical services and ensure optimal gold recovery on the mine, manage the accounting characteristics of the gold processing plant, and ensure raw materials for processing are accurate for safe, sustainable plant throughput and gold recovery at a minimum cost.
Key Duties
- Develop and maintain Metallurgical Account, reconcile procedures, and coordinate gold room activities.
- Report output, gold recovery, and operational costs daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly. Control consumables and the operating budget
- Design, start, and report plant performance-improving laboratory and plant tests.
- Actively review and monitor plant decisions
- Provide technical input to all project evaluations, including capital expenditure recommendations and plant/process evaluations.
- Create effective plant action plans to ensure ongoing operation achievement
- Follow management systems, rules, and procedures, use resources efficiently, and meet production targets while meeting health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Set performance goals and manage team performance.
- mentor and advise junior metallurgists.
- Train and equip line workers to work safely.
- Report legal and corporate infractions to management.
- Investigate accidents and incidents and take corrective measures.
Required Qualification and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy/Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or a similar field from a recognized university.
- Mineral Commission’s Process Superintendent Certificate
- 10 years of metallurgical and mineral processing experience.
- Flotation gold recovery experience.
Required Competencies
- Process control philosophy and systems expertise. Process plant operations problem-solving expertise
- Technical and analytical expertise.
- OHS commitment and observance
- Expertise in mass balancing, water balancing, and mineral processing plant design.
- Excellent English (verbal and written) communication skills to gather data and offer clear and concise information.
- accurate operational performance reports to upper and lower management.
- TSF Management and Mine-wide Water Balance expertise are advantageous.
- Leadership and team building experience.
- Motivate teammates to reach their goal.
- Understand management requirements.
- Conflict resolution experience required.
- Innovative thinker, results-oriented
- Respectful multi-cultural work atmosphere.
- Self-discipline under pressure
- Be meticulous, proactive, and eager. Must cooperate.
