University of Warwick Scholarships
1. The Chancellor’s International Scholarships
The University of Warwick Scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year will offer a maximum of 42 Chancellor’s International Scholarships to exceptionally qualified PhD applicants who are classified as Overseas Fees.
The University of Warwick Scholarships are available to PhD applicants and first-year PhD students from all academic departments of the university who have an abroad fee status.
The scholarship provides comprehensive coverage of academic costs and a stipend for 4 years, together with a Research Training and Support Grant (RTSG).

2. The China Scholarship Council (CSC) offers scholarships in collaboration with the University of Warwick.
The University is pleased to announce the China Scholarships Council (CSC) / University of Warwick Scholarships. In Autumn 2024, a total of 40 scholarships will be offered to eligible students who match the CSC criteria and are applying to pursue a PhD in any area.
Applicants who are eligible for consideration are limited to individuals who hold a PhD or are in their first year of a PhD program, provided they match the criteria set by the CSC.
The program offers successful applicants stipends and covers the cost of round-trip international airfare between the UK and China.
The application deadline is 20 June. Successful applicants will receive full coverage of overseas tuition fees for the entire duration of the CSC funding period, as well as a stipend enhancement. The China Scholarships Council will provide a maintenance stipend and cover the cost of international airfare between the UK and China for successful applicants.
3. Monash Warwick Alliance Joint PhD Scholarships (Warwick)
The Monash Warwick Alliance Scholarships at Warwick University are available to all students who are applying for the Alliance Joint PhD program at Warwick. There will be a maximum of 3 scholarships available for admittance, which will be awarded to the most exceptional PhD applicants who fulfill all the scholarship criteria.
Applicants who are eligible for the Alliance Joint PhD program include those with any fee status.
The scholarship provides full coverage of academic costs and a maintenance stipend for 3.5 years, at the level set by UKRI in the UK and the Australian government in Australia. Additionally, a travel allowance of £2,000 is included.
4. The AHRC M4C Open Doctoral Award is a prestigious scholarship program.
The Midlands4Cities Doctoral Training Partnership (M4C), financed by the AHRC, unites eight prestigious universities in the Midlands region. Its purpose is to assist research students in becoming authorities in their respective fields and to apply their expertise and abilities in their chosen professional paths.
Applicants who are postgraduate research (PGR) students in the Faculty of Arts, regardless of their fee status, are eligible.
The scholarship includes complete coverage of academic tuition and a UKRI-level stipend for 3.5 years. Additionally, it provides a Research Training Support Grant to cover consumables and travel expenses.

- English Baccalaureate: A qualification that recognizes achievement in a range of academic subjects.
- Certificate of Personal Effectiveness: A certificate that demonstrates personal and social skills.
- Key and Functional Skills: Skills that are essential for everyday life and work.
- Overseas Qualifications: Qualifications obtained from outside the country.
- Vocational Qualifications including BTEC: Practical qualifications that focus on certain industries or professions, including the BTEC qualification.
How to Submit an Application to the University of Warwick
Undergraduate courses can be applied for via the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).
Application Deadline: The deadline for all applications is June 20.
