Requirements for eligibility:
The University of Sussex Chancellor’s International Scholarships are available to international students who are enrolling in a full-time Master’s degree program commencing in September 2024. To be eligible, you must satisfy the following requirements:
- International students are required to be designated as ‘overseas’ to determine fees.
- Master’s Students: You must be registered in a Master’s program on a full-time basis.
- Self-Funded Students: You are required to independently finance your studies.

The following individuals are ineligible to apply:
Prospective students who are currently enrolled at the University of Sussex are ineligible to apply, except those participating in the Chancellor’s Masters Scholarship program.
Exclusionary Courses: Enrollment in specific courses renders you unable to apply. These courses include:
- Academic credentials, including certificates, diplomas, and the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
- Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) offers a variety of courses.
- Courses offered by the Institute of Development Studies (IDS)
- Early Years Education (including Early Years Teacher certification)
- Social work degrees (for individuals eligible for an NHS bursary)

- Schools Direct teaching courses
- Master’s programs financed by research councils, such as ESRC 1+3 grant.
Who is eligible to apply?
Only individuals who have already received an offer of admission to an approved Master’s degree at the University of Sussex are eligible to apply for this award.
