Scholarship Benefits:

1. Fee exemption for accepted candidates:

• Accepted candidates will be granted a 50% fee exemption applied to their tuition fee account.

2. Reimbursement for participants who received an early payment discount:

• Students who choose to pay their fees in full to receive the Early Payment Discount are eligible to apply for the scholarship. If they succeed, they have the right to a return. Consult the Fees Policy for further details regarding the Early Payment Discount.

3. Multiple Applications Allowed:

• Applicants can apply for several scholarships and bursaries.

4. Restriction on Entitlement:

A student can only retain the scholarship, bursary, or alumni discount that results in the greatest reduction in their tuition expenses, even if they have applied for multiple options.

Eligible Countries:

This award is available to students of all nationalities, both domestic and international.

Criteria for eligibility:

Course Start:

Enrolling in a postgraduate program at the university, which includes a certificate, diploma, or master’s courses.

Commencement Period:

Starting the course in September 2024 or January 2025.

Enrollment Status:

Enrolling in courses at the university’s campuses, either full-time or part-time.

Fee Evaluation:

The admissions team should examine the fees and categorize the applicant as having a home fee status.

Criteria for disqualification

Failure to satisfy all criteria:

Applicants must fulfill all the mentioned conditions to qualify for the award.

Course Categories: Ineligibility

• Applicants for courses in the specified categories are not eligible.
• Courses are provided through online platforms or distance education.
• Postgraduate courses are offered at the university’s affiliated institution.
• PGCE programs.
• Professional Diploma in Architecture, Part 2, or Master of Architecture (MArch).
• Master’s degrees that are integrated.
• Advanced research degrees such as MPhil, PhD, and professional doctorates are available for postgraduate students.

Exclusion from MA Social Work:

Government-funded MA Social work students are not eligible for the grant.

Restricted Scholarships:

Enrollment Status:

• Current students at UEL cannot apply for a scholarship for the degree they are already enrolled in.
• 2024/25 Application Period:
• Scholarship applications for the academic year 2024–25 will commence on Monday, January 15, 2024.

Deadline for submission:

• The deadline for scholarship applications is Sunday, July 28th, at 11:55.
• Decision Turnaround, 1st Round (15 January–26 April):
• Applicants will be notified of the decision results for applications submitted between January 15 and April 26 within 3 weeks after the closing date.
• Decision Turnaround: Second Round (26 April–28 July):
• Decisions for applications submitted between April 26 and July 28 July will be communicated to candidates within 3 weeks after the closing date.

Delayed Submissions:

Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
