The Aberystwyth University Entrance Scholarship is now available. Aberystwyth University is inviting undergraduate applicants to apply for online entrance scholarships. To participate, you need to submit your application form.

Before submitting your application, it is imperative to have acquired authorization from your tests officer if you are planning to take the tests at your school/college. The application will necessitate their name and e-mail address. To access the online system, you must have your UCAS personal identification number or a personal ID provided by Aberystwyth University if you did not apply through UCAS.

Your UCAS personal ID consists of a ten-digit number. International students who did not apply through UCAS should enter the reference number, starting with a D or DE, from their offer letter into the Personal ID section.

Successful candidates will be awarded one of three degrees of recognition.

1. University Scholarship: £1,000 per year with an unconditional offer

We will give 50 university scholarships to the applicants with the highest combined marks on both examination papers. Triumphant applicants are awarded £1,000 for every year of their degree. University Scholarship recipients are provided with assured housing in a university facility for the duration of their program.

Merit Award: £1,000 in the initial year along with an unconditional offer

We provide up to 100 merit awards annually to students who perform well in the entrance examinations but fall just short of qualifying for a scholarship. Recipients of the Merit Award are granted £1,000 in their initial year of study.

Unconditional Offer

High success in the entrance examinations may lead to the University offering you a place without any additional requirements, resulting in an unconditional UCAS offer. Candidates who do not get a scholarship or merit award may receive an unconditional offer based on their excellent exam performance.

Applying for Aberystwyth University Entrance Scholarship

You can promptly and effortlessly apply through the online application form, which will be available in November 2024. The deadline for applications is January 20, 2025. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be reviewed.

Before completing your application form, you must have authorization from your exam officer to facilitate the required preparations. We require their name and email address for the application process to confirm their registration and give exam instructions at the appropriate time.

Applications from countries other than the UK will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. International applicants who do not attend an appropriate school, such as an international school, may have the option to take tests at a British Council office. The applicant would be responsible for any arrangements and would need to coordinate directly with the British Council before submitting their application form.

Aberystwyth University offers entrance scholarship exams for candidates seeking admission to an undergraduate degree program.

Exams are typically done on a computer and then submitted through an online platform. Access to a school or college computer with an internet connection and a web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge, as well as Microsoft Word, is required.

Exams can be taken at Aberystwyth University on Saturday, February 11, or at your school/college on Thursday, February 9. Before submitting your application, it is essential to secure approval from your exam officer.

• You will take two tests from the selection of subjects we provide, which must be authorized by the Department you have applied to.
• Each exam has a duration of 90 minutes and both exams are scheduled for the same day.
• Our academic departments design and grade the tests, which are not required to follow a specific syllabus but should be on par with A-level exams in terms of difficulty. We do not provide marking methods or feedback for test papers.
• Accepted applicants will be granted up to £1,000 annually and a confirmed spot to pursue their studies at Aberystwyth University.
