If the student’s former manager in their home nation possesses a deeper understanding of the student’s academic history, they can also obtain a letter of recommendation from them. Requirements for Japan Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for the Honjo International Scholarship 2024–25, you must complete the following steps:

1. A non-Japanese individual in the class

2. The student must be enrolled in a Japanese graduate school by September or October 2024, or be in the process of applying for a course that commences in September or October 2024. This grant is available to both current enrollees and prospective enrollees. Additionally, it encompasses those who are employed at the moment they submit their application for the program.   • The duration between commencing school and completing graduation must exceed 12 months.

  • The student must possess a strong desire to serve as a soldier in their native country in the future.
  • The student must possess extensive knowledge of international camaraderie and benevolence. In addition, they must attend the foundation’s activities and become a member of the alumni network.
  • The student must possess the ability to communicate with individuals with basic proficiency in the Japanese language. Regardless of the circumstances, interviews shall be conducted exclusively in Japanese.
