Requirements for Bachelor Degree Scholarships

  • The scholarship has an age limit of 25 years old for applicants.
  • Possess a high school diploma (please submit scanned copies of the diploma and academic transcripts in English). Kindly note that individuals with a bachelor’s degree are not eligible to apply.
  • Possess a TOEFL or IELTS (or another officially recognized English Proficiency Test) score of at least 90 on the TOEFL IBT or 5.0 on the IELTS, or an equivalent score (the certification must have been achieved within the past 2 years). Applicants who are from English-speaking nations or have completed a program or class conducted in English (as indicated on their diploma or transcript) may submit an official letter from their former institution as an alternative to an English proficiency test.
  • Submit the recommendation letter to the Indonesian Embassy or the Indonesian Consulate General in the applicant’s country in order to apply for the UNNES scholarship.
  • Please include a recent letter of recommendation for the UNNES Scholarship from your employer or direct supervisor, if you are currently employed.

Criteria for Master’s Degree Scholarship

  • The scholarship has an age limit of 35 years old for applicants.
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree (please submit scanned copies of the diploma and academic transcripts for the bachelor’s degree in English). Applicants with a master’s degree are not eligible to apply.
  • Possess a TOEFL or IELTS (or another officially recognized English Proficiency Test) score of at least 90 on the TOEFL IBT or 5.0 on the IELTS, or a comparable score (the certificate must have been received within the past 2 years). Applicants who are from English-speaking nations or have graduated from a program or class conducted in English (as mentioned in their diploma or transcript) may submit an official letter from their former home university as a substitute for an English proficiency test.
  • Submit the recommendation letter to the Indonesian Embassy or the Indonesian Consulate General in the applicant’s country in order to apply for the UNNES scholarship.
  • Submit a recent letter of recommendation for the UNNES Scholarship from the applicant’s employer or direct supervisor (if the candidate is currently employed).
  • Submit an Academic Recommendation Letter from prior universities.
  • Submit valid proof of citizenship in the form of an official passport that remains valid for a minimum of one year after July 2024. The use of the National ID card is not permissible.

Doctorate degree requirements

  • The scholarship has an age limit of 40 years old for applicants.
  • Possess a master’s degree (please submit scanned copies of the diploma and academic transcripts for the master’s degree in English). Applicants must note that individuals with a PhD degree are not allowed to apply.
  • Present a concise statement of purpose outlining the objectives of the study, the motivation for choosing to study in Indonesia, the specific research topic, and the individual’s academic aspirations for the future.
  • Possess a valid TOEFL or IELTS (or any other accredited English Proficiency Test) score of at least 90 on the TOEFL IBT or 5.0 on the IELTS, or an equivalent score (the certification must have been achieved within the past 2 years). Applicants who are from English-speaking nations or have completed a program or class conducted in English (as indicated on their diploma or transcript) can submit an official letter from their prior university as an alternative to an English proficiency test.
  • Submit the recommendation letter to the Indonesian Embassy or the Indonesian Consulate General in the applicant’s country in order to apply for the UNNES scholarship.
