Study In France: Paris-Saclay University Scholarships 2024

Paris-Saclay University in France is currently accepting applications for the 2024 Scholarship Program. This program is open to both domestic and international students who wish to pursue a Masters degree in several subjects. This scholarship provides a 40% reduction in tuition fees, totaling 10,000 euros annually. An additional allowance of up to 1000 euros is provided to cover travel and visa expenses.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in Master’s programs that are eligible and offered by partner schools of Paris-Saclay University. Additionally, they must fulfill the eligibility conditions specified in this blog. The application deadline is May 3, 2024. Regarding the scholarship program

Université Paris-Saclay strives to facilitate international students’ access to its Master’s programs offered by its faculties, component-institutions, and associated universities. It also aims to simplify the process for highly-qualified international students to enroll in the university, particularly for those interested in pursuing research projects up to the doctoral level.

Scholarships will be granted for the academic year 2024-2025. These scholarships are funded by IDEX through the 3rd Programme Investissements d’Avenir and are specifically intended for students who have been accepted into a Master’s program offered by Université Paris-Saclay. The following organizations are providing the scholarships: AgroParisTech, CentraleSupelec, Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay (ENS Paris-Saclay), INSTN-CEA, Institut d’Optique Graduate School (IOGS), Université d’Evry-Val-d’Essonne (UEVE), Université Paris-Saclay (UPSaclay), and Université de Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en

These scholarships are granted for either one or two years to students who are currently enrolled in a Master’s program at Université Paris-Saclay. The duration of the scholarship depends on the student’s entry-level (M1 or M2). However, it is contingent upon the student completing the required amount of credits to progress to the next year of study.

Université Paris-Saclay is ranked among the top 20 universities in the world according to the 2022 Academic Ranking of World Universities. The ranking is an annual publication by Shanghai Jiao Tong University that evaluates and ranks the most productive research universities worldwide. Université Paris-Saclay holds the highest ranking among universities in France.

Areas of study:

  • All disciplines within academia are eligible.
  • All Master’s programs, except vocational training, that are accredited by Université Paris-Saclay are eligible.

Requirements for eligibility:

Meet the requirements:

  • Students accepted into a Master’s degree at Paris-Saclay University, which is offered by the following institutions: AgroParisTech, CentraleSupelec, ENS Paris-Saclay, INSTN-CEA, IOGS, UEVE, UPSaclay, UVSQ. Only students who meet one of the following criteria are eligible to apply:
  • International students who have recently arrived and are 30 years old or younger during the selection year.
  • Non-native students residing in France for less than one year, who are now or formerly enrolled in a non-certification training program or internship.
  • Foreign students residing in France for less than one year, enrolled in French as a Foreign Language (FFL) courses.
  • Students who have previously resided in France as part of a mobility program during their studies (such as Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degrees or exchange programs) that did not result in certification.

Are not eligible:

  • This applies to all students who have been or are now enrolled in a French higher education institution, except international students studying at a French higher education institution located outside of France.
  • No information was provided. Students who have discontinued their studies for a period exceeding 3 consecutive years.
  • Students who are receiving assistance from sources other than this and the amount of funding they receive exceeds 650€ per month.
  • Paris-Saclay University, in collaboration with UNHCR and supported by the MEnS association, is introducing a bonus system for refugee students or students with subsidiary protection as part of the IDEX scale of scholarships.

Details on the scholarship’s monetary value and the method of payment:

  • The scholarship provided by Université Paris-Saclay amounts to 10,000€ annually. The Université Paris-Saclay covers the cost for the entire academic year, including 10 continuous months from September to June.
  • Depending on the candidate’s place of origin, they may be eligible to receive up to a maximum of 1,000€ to cover travel and visa expenditures.
  • Upon their arrival in France and enrollment in the admitted program, laureates will receive their stipend along with travel expenses.
  • There is no possibility to make an advance payment.

Procedure for Applying:

1) Chosen students will receive an email with a link to an online application form.

Upon receiving this email, students who wish to apply must fill out the online application form and supply the names and contact information of two references who are prepared to submit a reference for the candidate (such as the director of studies, professor, or internship coordinator).

2) Both referees designated by the candidate will receive an email with a link to an online recommendation form.

Participants will be required to fill out and send in the form before the deadline for the scholarship application.

The candidate will receive automatic notifications once each referee has submitted the form.

3) The scholarship application will only be considered complete once both recommendation forms have been completed by the referees.

Kindly be aware that the candidate will not be sent a notification to confirm the completion of their application.

The responsibility lies with the candidate to guarantee that both referees fulfill the requirement of completing and submitting the form within the specified period mentioned in the invitation email.

Any applications that are not fully completed or submitted after the specified date will be automatically rejected.

Timeline of the application:

  • The training manager has set the deadline for candidate selection as April 30, 2024.
  • The deadline for scholarship applications is May 3, 2024. The deadline for receiving recommendations from the 2 referees and closing the application process is the same. The results will be announced by the end of June 2024, after the date of May 7, 2024.
