The Canada McCall MacBain Scholarship for Summer/Fall 2025 is currently accepting applications from both domestic and international students. This scholarship provides full funding. The scholarship enables students to pursue Master’s or Undergraduate programs in any subject at universities in Canada. The scholarship’s deadline is August 21, 2024.

Academic Level:

To qualify for the McCall MacBain Scholarship in 2025, you must intend to apply for full-time enrollment in a master’s or second-entry professional undergraduate program at McGill University for the Summer/Fall 2025 term. The chosen program must consist of at least 45 credits and be predominantly held at either McGill’s downtown or Macdonald campuses.

Acceptable Master’s degrees include:

  • Master of Arts
  • Master of Architecture
  • MATL stands for Arts in Teaching and Learning.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Master of Education (MEd)
  • Master of Engineering (MEng)
  • Master of Information Studies (MISt)
  • Management Analytics, Finance, and Retail are the areas of focus for MM.
  • Master of Music (Music)
  • Master of Public Policy (MPP)
  • Master of Science (MSc)
  • MScA stands for Master of Science in Applied Science.
  • MScAPT stands for Master of Science in Applied Physical Therapy.
  • MScAOT stands for Master of Science in Applied Occupational Therapy.
  • Master of Social Work (MSW)
  • MUP stands for Master of Urban Planning.
  • LLM, which stands for Master of Laws, is a postgraduate degree in the field of law.

Professional undergraduate degrees are offered as a second entry option:

  • The user has listed three degrees: BCL/JD in Law, DMD in Dentistry, and MDCM in Medicine.

The McCall MacBain Scholarships do not provide financial coverage for graduate certificates, executive master’s programs (EMBA, IMHL), PhDs, or dual degree programs. This is an important point to consider. Students enrolled in qualifying-year programs have the opportunity to submit their applications for a master’s degree at McGill University at the start of their qualifying year.

Requirements for eligibility:

Citizenship requirement:

To be eligible for the award, candidates must hold Canadian or U.S. citizenship, or be international students.

Age Requirement:

The preferred candidate should be under the age of 30 at the time of submitting their application.

Education Level:

Applicants must be enrolled as current students and expected to complete their first bachelor’s degree by August 2025.

Duration for Obtaining an Initial Bachelor’s Degree:

Applicants must have obtained their initial bachelor’s degree within the past five years, starting from January 2019 forward.

Applicants who received their first bachelor’s degree over five years ago must still be 30 years old or younger by the year 2024.

  • To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must complete an English proficiency examination.
  • The likelihood of being accepted into the program is greater for students who have a thesis written in French.
