Senior Accountant at Star Fleet
A company wants to hire someone with the right skills for the job of Senior Accountant.
Job Responsibilities
- As a Senior Accountant, he or she will be in charge of the whole Accounts Unit and make sure that records are kept on time and correctly.
- Making sure that accounting tasks and tools work together.
- Making cash reports and analyses.
- Making estimates of how much money will come in and how much it will cost.
- Helping to make and keep track of budgets.
- Keeping track of and balancing the amounts on the balance sheet and in the general ledger.
- Helping get ready for the yearly audit.
- Looking into and fixing audit results, account discrepancies, and problems with not following the rules.
Needed Qualifications and Experience
- You must have a first degree in accounting or banking and finance. ACCA/ICA II or a similar professional qualification would be a plus.
- A good understanding of financial and accounting concepts, systems, and techniques
- Make sure the company is following statutory, legal, regulatory, and industry standards and guidelines, such as those for business behavior, capital, and solvency.
- Oversee and make sure that annual budgets and plans for the next few years are made for the group.
- Make sure all dates for reporting, auditing, and filing are met, whether they are for internal or external stakeholders. This includes (but is not limited to) all statutory, internal, and other types of financial reports.
- Taking care of and helping with internal and external audits.
- Having a good understanding of tax rules.
- Know how to use Microsoft Office well, especially Excel.
Experience
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Must have worked in all areas under control for at least 5 years.
- Be able to teach and lead people.
