ROLE: HR Services Advisor – Ghana
The HR Services Advisor (100 percent remote) is a key position that is responsible for coordinating HR daily activities between the GEO business and In-Country Experts, Clients, and Workers to effectively onboard new workers, coordinate them through the employment end-to-end process (including payroll), and take ultimate ownership for quality and service delivery in Ghana.
How you will make a difference:
- Help and work closely with the HR Services Manager to give Safeguard’s clients and workers around the world GEO services that are high quality and legal.
- Help with payroll processes and look over related costs and reports.
- Coordinate the life cycle of a worker’s job, from the start of the job to the end of the job.
- Be the first person a worker talks to about anything.
- Work with HR tools to cover the whole employment life cycle and make sure you’re following the law.
- Make sure that all job contracts are in line with the laws in the area.
- Support the monthly payroll life cycle, funding/billing processes, and the annual payroll calendar process, making sure payments are asked and received on time and that payments are correct.
- Keep a database that is up-to-date with information about workers and their breaks.
- Always follow the Safeguard Global Company Values and show them when helping clients, workers, and team members.
- Do any other tasks and responsibilities that the management asks you to do that are in line with the level and purpose of this job.
What will give you an advantage:
- A college degree in human resources or a similar field
- At least 2–3 years of applicable HR experience (experience in both HR operations and payroll is a big plus).
- Strong oral and written English language skills
- Good understanding of Ghana’s labor and job laws.
- Cultural understanding and good people skills are important.
- Attention to detail, order, and toughness are must-have skills.
- High level of freedom and initiative while working well as part of a team, and high level of responsibility for tasks given.
