The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Net Zero Maritime Energy Solutions (N0MES) offers a fully funded 4-year PhD place for exceptional researchers.

By the year 2030, the company aims to achieve a total capacity of 50 gigawatts for offshore wind energy. However, the installation of underwater cables for this purpose is challenging, particularly when dealing with various soil compositions.

Their effort is to discover more efficient methods for installing these wires through the examination of the interaction between cutting equipment and submerged dirt.

About N0MES:
